At the top, the bell curve still exists, wise wealthy parents will not spoil their kids. A great lesson would be showing the kid how much the government takes in taxes from the wealthy.

Kids, learn early that government is not your friend or parent but a necessary evil.

If the purpose of this proposal is to teach children to value the money they have earned, then it would apply to the rich kids as well.
Unless, of course, you want to argue that the rich kids, by virtue of a greed-soaked upbringing, are already so obsessed with hoarding away money that they wouldn't learn much from a part time job. ..personally, I think that would be an unfair characterization of the rich kids.

Contributing to Society is being able to take care of you own shit. The rich kid should work also as it builds moral fiber. As for kids social development working would be better that doing nothing, playing video games and staying on the streets all hours of the night. Work is good for ones sole. It builds self esteem, good character and you makes some money.

You forgot that the lazy child without the sandwich should politely ask if he/she can do the dishes and in return receive a crust from the sandwich. However, the dishes have already been done by the other hungry kids and the crust is gone. Too bad there just aren't enough dishes to do for everyone! Oh well.
