More good news, cyberninjas has reportedly stolen the ballots and data they were reviewing (it was never an audit) and (illegally?) taken them out of state to Montana almost two weeks after missing their deadline to report to the AZ congress on July 28. Good thing they didn’t get their hands on all that other personal information they requested because what they have is not secured and ripe for identity theft already, and they wanted basically all the personal data the county had on every resident, including addresses, employment, family members (mother’s maiden name), social security numbers, medical records, bank accounts, assets, criminal history, …..everything the state had.

Even you can’t spin the refusal to provide their conclusions (now what, almost 5 months into their 3 week review) and fleeing the state with state property as some indication they found something, and you were so gullible that you bought their blatant lie about “suddenly appearing unregistered mail in votes that had no record of being sent out” that turned out to be early in person voting numbers, but they were too incompetent or dishonest to say so and instead pretended they found fraud….and continue to pretend they found fraud after being debunked, and are using that obvious bold faced lie in their efforts of trying to go door to door in large groups of Trumptards to force people to tell them who they voted for in a clear, blatant case of text book illegal voter intimidation.

Everyone has the right to talk about experiences they themselves went through. Confidentiality is a reasonable expectation, say, sometimes between spouses. But not after a first date ffs.

The idea that anyone would chastise(rebuke or reprimand severely) someone they don't know, who were engaged in a normal private conversation (your example) seems insane to me. I find people like that completely offensive.

I've told many an acquaintance (someone i have SOME relationship with) why i might find a term they used ugly/offensive, but NEVER would i "chastise" them. It's unnecessary and usually accomplishes nothing or the exact opposite of what i can only assume ones trying to achieve. I find people who "chastise" as a way to go about it are generally high horse types who think they are better than others in one way or another.

one thing i find interesting is the response to this protest and the bundy protest.

i think we approach situations from different perspectives.i am anti-authoritarian,and am always critical of power and abuse of power.

you tend to (in my opinion) approach these situations far more cautiously,and give authority the benefit of the doubt,whereas i do not...i hold them..and possibly unfairly..to a higher standard.

I don't see money being taken out of politics. Especially not with a Republican legislative / executive before the next election. In fact I've honestly become cynical about campaign finance reform having any serious effect no matter how well designed.

You can limit campaigns and their committees all you want, but if the money's there it will find it's way in through sponsored media and astro turfed 'grass roots' organisations that will claim some kind of legal disassociation with the candidate. Or the law will just be ignored like the supposed separation between campaigns and super PACs now.

Not that I like this, but I feel the lesson here as far as winning elections is concerned is, for a successful party the campaign never ends. Obama was blamed for every economic and foreign policy event over the past 8 years with little meaningful rebuke despite GOP obstructionism being a huge factor. He came very close to losing to Romney.

After Republicans claimed the legislative branch and so many state level positions that message should have been easy to refute citing an unwillingness to compromise for results (Simpson-Bowles debt plan should have been exhibit A). I would not at all be surprised if even now with almost complete government dominance, they are able to blame the Democrats for years to come by claiming to be fixing existing policy mistakes.

If Democrats don't deliver an effective message, they'll be looking at a second Trump term, with every failing over the previous 4 years blamed on them.

I agree it's not so much a reflection of Hillary that some underlings do this, but it is a reflection of each candidate how they handle it when it comes to light. As far as I can tell, she has done nothing about this...which is the same story for almost every other candidate that's had a supporter cause a 'scandal'. Oddly, the only one I've heard publicly rebuke a supporter and fire them was Cruz, who's campaign has been one of the worst, least truthful, and most vitriolic of any besides Trump.
Things aren't looking good for us politically, the only good choice is rapidly evaporating in favor of a 'the lesser of two evils' kind of choice.

I'm certain you're correct, yet they did seem to say those things, and that's bad enough for me unless they edited out "this is the behavior and attitude we absolutely will not tolerate". It's hard to believe that's the case this time, even considering the source (but I'll admit, he is well known for producing bullshit).

I also agree with @oritteropo, I'm also certain there is no campaign that hasn't had someone push the envelope in this election cycle or worse. That said, it does seem some campaigns are more willing to go the 'ends justify the means' route than others. That bothers me quite a lot.
I want my choice to be as honest as possible, and I also want their subordinates to have clear direction from the top down that they should strive to be honest and follow the rules, not ever instructed to do 'whatever you can get away with' or to 'ask for forgiveness instead of permission', and when they clearly go against that mindset, I want to see a clear, public rebuke by the candidate, and removal of the 'offender(s)'.

Really? You can’t think of any other possibilities? How about freedom is more important than suffering? Foremost in the Bible we are all free moral agents. God will not step over this except in exceptionally rare instances. I have the freedom to do good or evil. If I choose to pull out a gun and kill a person, good or evil, that person will die. There are consequences of actions and mitigating consequences frequently leads to a reoccurrence of the action. I am not saying a baby dyeing of malaria is a result of someone’s action but how we (human race) grows is by learning most often by mistakes and pain and suffering. Pain and suffering is what life is all about.
How about looking at the long term consequences over the short term? This is a common mistake made among liberals. It should have been written in scripture no pain no gain. Are you going to say you should avoid the short term pain of a needle to inoculate malaria? The short term pain nets a good result in the end. I know this is a stretch but nobody knows the results of all the suffering going on in the world but as for me I trust God does and is working on us the best way. I like to look at the whole planet and all the living organisms as one thing God is working on. He is out for our best. I can tell you this, there is a purpose for everything, despite the fact that we can perceive it, comprehend it or like it.
