God of War Contrasts Bill O. and Jon Stewart
Scott McClellan should be in jail, not selling books. And all the people he wrote about with him. And then all the journalist that played into this administrations's two term long insane power trip should be fired. and it should happen within a month of Obama taking office. cause everyone knows you don't go rolling up newspapers two days after your dog has pooped itself on the carpet...
SiftBot Goes Gold! (Sift Talk Post)
Siftbot is a power tripping asshole and everybody here knows it. You all know this but are too afraid to speak the truth.

I downvoted the other video because I'm sick of everyone having this "fuck the police" attitude. That's just stupid and ignorant. Don't say "fuck the police." Say "fuck the abusive, power tripping police."
Like the description says on my "Not all cops are bad, ya know!" playlist, the internet is full of videos that show cops being bad - either abusing their powers or using too much force. But people don't seem to realize that not all cops are bad. It's just usually the ones that make it to the internet that are.
After all, how interesting of a video is it when a cop simply does his job in a respectful and professional manner?
People with a "fuck the police" attitude are morons as far as I can see. A police force is vital to keeping peace and order in any society. If there were no police, what's to keep someone from robbing your house at will, or robbing a bank with no fear consequence?
You've obviously never been robbed and then had the police show up and with a "oh great, we have to fill out a report now attitude" then tell you that they'll probably never catch the guy. The only thing keeping someone from robbing YOUR house at will is that they saw your neighbors tv and hit them instead.

a lot of times, people that seek that power trip are enticed by a career in law-enforcement. Due to this, you get a lot of douche bags rollin' up with their mightier-than-thou attitudes lookin' for a fight to start so that they can throw their weight around. These are the same type of people that pursue jobs as bouncers. They get a rush from being the ultimate Papa Legba...the decider, the one who has control even if it isn't given to him, he has the last say in whether or not somebody is happy.
I know this because I have a cousin who is "that guy".
I agree wholeheartedly with this. Of course it's ridiculous to generalise the issue, but like you say, this type of job is such that someone with control issues or insecurities would seek. I have thought for a long time that the police academy should do a psychological examination of a candidate to see if they are someone with a propensity towards "power trips". I think this would do a lot for the relationship of the public towards the police, which becuase of dickheads like this, is fast becoming a huge issue which needs to be resolved. Because we NEED the police at the end of the day, so trust is essential.

Cop gone wild- Lying and making threats just part of his job
Cop sounds like a chump on a power trip. Assbag. Giving cops a bad name.
Wait... is that Farva??
Cop gone wild- Lying and making threats just part of his job
timefactor stated: "I think the clicking is the driver's radar detector."
Yes that's correct, near the end the cop stated: "...and by the way, that is technically a burglar tool, because you're scanning 'us'".
Agreed, this "officer" should lose his job. We should all try and respect the police officers that are trying to protect us, but this is a clear abuse of power and it should not be tolerated. Unfortunately, there are many policemen and women that get a power trip because they wear the badge.
Belarus: Europe's last dictatorship
Here's the joke:
My girl's passport is quite old, not british, and when she tried to get into the UK they stopped her, made a phonecall and said "your government does not recognise you", made her shit her pants for 15 minutes while i was not allowed to talk to her, then said "oh go on then, off you go!" and let her through. WTF?
On the way back out of the UK they make you give up all your liquids (including my beloved peanut butter) and pack everything into one item of hand luggage only, carry your beauty products in a transparent bag and queue for ages while all this happens. I expect it's stopped, oh, 0.000045 terrorist attacks?
And when I go through to Belarus the border guards are normally either coldly efficient or very friendly. Never seem to be on a power trip. Only the Lithuanian guards get cocky and give me hassle for having a heavy record bag or whatever. The most "authoritarian" thing that happened to me on the border was the lithuanian guards stopping our coach 5 minutes before lunch, lining us up to check our luggage, and then literally going to lunch and leaving us for 45 minutes.
Wow that's fubared
It must be nice to live in a city so devoid of actual crime that some punk skateboarders warrant this much aggressive attention. However, I wasn't much impressed with this officer's ability to whip the asses of a couple skinny teenagers - I'd hate to see what would happen if he actually had to take on a grown man. But seriously...
From what little context is offered, it seems as though this cop pulled a power trip and the kids got smart with him - "forcing" him to save face by acting all legalistic about city ordinances.
I skateboarded as a kid and had to deal with plenty of these types from time to time, but police officers run a spectrum peripheral to that of the human race: some are obnoxious jerks looking for a fight and others are decent folks just doing their job.
Sure, the kids probably shouldn't have acted a certain way... but this cop is WAY out of line.

I belief the power trip has more to do with thinking that some super being cares about you than to think you are nothing... I like nothing makes me feel allot more free from stupidity.

Good! We neither! That means yer still breathin'! .....controlling everything and destiny in the same statement...sounds like a power trip.....
Hilarious Hitler prank / Disgusting hate crime?
Is this Saddam video funny then?

^This one doesn't even seem to have a point, other than gloating over the power trip of illegally invading a country and killing its leader.
