I'm fairly new around here and I need some enlightenment.

I don't care about the fight from another thread spilling over here, but doesn't the mere mention of the Illuminati invoke one of the biggest conspiracy theories of all time? I see your point about this being a parody of conspiracy people, but by that parody they are talking about the theory (I don't buy it BTW).

They're making fun of a real conspiracy theory. Should The Daily Show be included in the "news" channel? I say yes--but conspiracy is your channel, so it's your call.

He/she/it is just being a douche to the nth degree because he/she/it thinks there are no such things as conspiracies and that anyone who thinks there are is an idiot. Yes ponc we all know our government would NEVER lie to us, the American people, EVER, right? I'm so glad they found those WMD's in Iraq. As for there being no conspiracies, duckman, you have me in error. I am absolutely the first to say that the government CAN lie to us. The lack of WMD was a real travesty and showed how a few people could blow bad intelligence into an excuse for going to war. That said, there is a VERY big difference between the quite provable WMD incident and the Building 7 thing which it seems like there can't be any amount of logic or evidence to convince the truthers.

I was really amazed at the episode a week or two ago where Conrad turned out to be Inspector #5 and had let Bender go through the assembly line despite being defective because he had pity on him... that was really unexpected. Nearly had me in tears. Yes, Ponce is sometimes totally a pussy.

Sorry Thinker but I disagree with what you did. Let me recap for those who didn't see: You marked this with all sorts of channels which had nothing to do with what she is talking about such as middle east, politics, religion, waronterror, etc.

If she had actually talked about those things, and been the total idiot she is, that would be one thing, but she does not have anything to do with those channels and has nothing to do with them. It is one thing to title it the way that you did, that much is fine, but to claim that the video contains content it doesn't is just going to encourage the inaccuracy of searches on the sift. If I am looking for a video on something involving those topics and I'm led to this, I'd be pretty pissed. It is the EXACT same thing as putting a bunch of irrelevant tags on the now famous "Rickrioll" video in an effort to get people to watch something they don't want to.

Now, Thinker, I like you a lot, your sifts are usually quality. In fact, I'll go as far as to say that you have a real find here in terms of discovering one of the internet's newest sensations as far as vapid wastes of space. But I think it has been established that joke channelling isn't really right. I'll also go on to say that you caught me at a really testy time yesterday. "Banned Doritos Commercial" is the title that he put on the video here. No one changed that title (just look at the URL). But, if you pause the video and look on the top left, or if you go to the video at youtube, you can see the actual title of the video. Anyway, sorry you don't agree, it's clearly a self link to me, and like I said in that post, he was admin banned. I'm all for second chances, he can create a new account. Hopefully one where he'll read the huge pop-up that warns you before submitting not to self link.

That's not a lot to really go on for deciding a self link. The guy may have just named himself that because he thought it was funny, we've got users named Marinara and Direpickle, both could also be used as names for chip flavours. The "Thanks for your support" could have been from him thanking people for voting for his first video.

However, by the time I had got there, the name of the video was changed to "Banned doritos commercial" so I didn't know the name was the same. Although, that's still not really grounds for a self link.

The spam in his description however is a more suitable reason for banning.

Sorry, but I'm just a bit touchy on the subject right now, because a few weeks ago someone posted a self link without reading the guidelines, and enough of us downvoted the video so it would be discarded and he wouldn't get banned. An hour or two later, I sent him the quote about posting guidelines, and he sent me a private message back appologising and asking "So, I can post videos about other things not submitted by me, things I like, right?"

and before I could message him back, he was banned by someone, which is unfortunate because there's people like ponce and kulpims that got a second chance, but for whatever reason they weren't given one.

Not blaming you, its just that since then I've been a bit.. touchy, on the issue.
