Time Magazine Gives Best Interview with Ron Paul - 9/17

robdot says...

the population in 1930 was under 100 million. without the cdc ,fda ,government provided highway systems ,etc we can not support our present population. this is true if you like it or not.

The Sixteenth Amendment (Amendment XVI) to the United States Constitution allows the Congress to levy an income tax without apportioning it among the states or basing it on Census results. This amendment overruled Pollock v. Farmers' Loan & Trust Co. (1895), which limited the Congress's authority to levy an income tax.
so, your wrong. now say it,say i was wrong.

without taxes on income..capital gains..inheritance. within a few generations the wealth of the country would be in the hands of a very few. its also regressive in nature. meaning the more you make the less you pay in taxes. because a family of 4 making 40.000 a year consumes all its income, see? so they are taxed on 100% of their income. but a family of 4 making 250.000 a year saves maybe 25 % ,and if interest and capital gains were not taxed they would save even more. becuase the income is tax free and the gains are tax free and i can pass it on to my heirs tax free. woo hoo !!!!so they would live off of 65% of their income ,save the rest, tax free, earn gains, tax free, pass it on,tax free untill they were living off the interest. these fair tax ideas etc, ideas are all republican psychobabble joe the plumber bullshit . you must tax income. that is the only FAIR way to do it. its a rich people method for tricking teabagger dipshits. thats why the fair tax people hired joe the plumber to go to tea partys and promote the fair tax.

republicans always say this stupid ass crap that people should make their own choices, oh..unless they want an abortion. then ill make that choice. oh, unless you gay and wanna get married, then ill make that choice. unless you wanna choose a public health option,uh,then no. republicans are always for choice. as long as you choose what they want you to choose.

WOODY ALLEN: That's quite a lovely Jackson Pollock, isn't it?

GIRL IN MUSEUM: Yes it is.

WOODY ALLEN: What does it say to you?

GIRL IN MUSEUM: It restates the negativeness of the universe, the hideous lonely emptiness of existence, nothingness, the predicament of man forced to live in a barren, godless eternity, like a tiny flame flickering in an immense void, with nothing but waste, horror, and degradation, forming a useless bleak straightjacket in a black absurd cosmos.

WOODY ALLEN: What are you doing Saturday night?

GIRL IN MUSEUM: Committing suicide.

WOODY ALLEN: What about Friday night?

GIRL IN MUSEUM: [leaves silently]

Ever mix strawberry soda with whiskey? (Drugs Talk Post)

thinker247 says...

Sorry I'm late to post here, but I just woke from my week-long hangover.

But seriously, I understand the plight of wrongly mixed drinks. I once mixed Four-dollar-fifth of gin with Diet 7-Up. I thought I was going to hurl BEFORE I was drunk. Which is a crime in Kuwait, I think.

A short list of great drinks that have made me do terrible things to bar stools:

AMF (Adios, Motherfucker)
Long Island Iced Tea (tip the bartender for that extra special Kelsey Grammer amount)
Cherry Bomb ("Bomb" is right. I think I invaded a sovereign nation while drunk on 13 of those fuckers.)
Rattlesnake (something involving Kahlua, Creme de Cacao and taking off my pants at a house party.)

However, the worst combination I have ever tried:

A six-pack of Bud Light chased with an entire pint of Jagermeister and a few swigs of Goldschlager. You don't even want to know the medium Jackson Pollock used in THAT bathroom!

Now it's time to get drunk on PBR and watch midget porn.

Spacey Creepy Animation: Tidy Monster

You just have to come to the realization that art is expression; you either "appreciate" it or you don't. It's such a clever concept; there is no right or wrong. There are the mainstream classics from throughout history, and then there's the crucifix in a bottle of urine. Jackson Pollock "paints" like a flock of birds took a shit in Technicolor and it's incredible. Don't feel like you're "L7" if you don't get it. Two people don't even see the same thing.

Tommy Emmanuel playing guitar how it should be done

choggie says...

MINK, jonny, nazdorvia, deathcow, all hit it-to musicians, this guy lacks the quality that developing a sound of one's own produces, but plays the manic, wreckless noodling card off, quite well....like everyone fawning over a guy like buckethead, or Stanley Jordan who can make dreamy sounds, and has an initial presence appeal, but the technical grace can only carry you so far.

Cobain? His tortured, fast-burning flame of soul, wash a white-washed cry for help, and for me, that over-shadows any potential for greatness of merit....just look at the ilk that treat Kurt like a god-buncha manic-depression candidates, coffee addicted and screaming for help in their own way, 20-somethings, with a fried internal navigation system....

another one really gets me pissed-Dave Matthews and his College Cult Crooning, ....that man's shit, runs together like a Jackson Pollock mural-and the kids who worship him wouldn't know good music if it collided with their flavor-of-the-week, world views.....

Doc Watson, Django Reinhardt, Merle Travis-
Jeff Beck, Zappa, Ronnie Montrose, yes, the Winter Bros., hell....Angus Young....whaddya know, most of these guys are either still alive, or lived long lives with smiles on their faces...not needles in their arms, or booze in their livvers.....
