Tel Aviv - Incredible Amateur Audio/Video Mashup
You are completely entitled to your opinion on this track.. not that fond of it myself, tbh.... but pretty much everything else you've said is simply untrue.
First up, digital instruments are still instruments. Some of them require great skill to play in real time (see Beardyman for example).
Some are authoring tools that aren't used for performance. So what? In the past, we called those kinds of tools sheet music, where a composer could write some music and have others perform it.
Second, it's not a zero-sum game. Just because some people use a sampler doesn't take away from people playing guitar.
Finally, there are literally millions of musicians still playing instruments (by which I'm assuming you mean traditional instruments like strings, percussion, wind, etc). With the web as a distribution and learning tool, it has never been easier to learn, write and record music. So if you want to listen to rock or classical or blues or jazz or soul or funk or metal or folk or any combination thereof, it's out there. Go look for it.
Sure..., it's got a beat, but no soul.
This sort of thing, although creative - which is great, that is killing music today. Musicians no longer play instruments, or even know how. It's too perfect as it strips out any human element to lets us relate to it. Sad for the future of music, if this is what we have to look forward to...
--I know this is just my opinion, but it's mine.
Hetfield (Metallica) talks being a musician, growing up
Hetfield is a great guitarist. He doesn't play solos or super technical parts, but he's great at what he does and he plays with real feel.
Also he has a cyborg right arm.... the man can downpick like nobodies business
Dennis Rodman Sings Happy Birthday To Kim Jong-Un
They pretty clearly threw the first game to the NKoreans, but then started playing for real in the second game when they mixed the teams with players from both sides.
They lost? oy.
I lost money on a bet.
War Thunder trailer
I have no problem with violent video games. video games is where violence belongs.
But "playing" a real war always makes me uncomfortable.
Dude Solos On Guitar Hero - Highest Level
Whoa hang on there. "Its just for fun" implies that playing or learning to play a real guitar is not.
The reason people, usually musicians like me, suggest he should have spent his time learning a real guitar is because we believe learning a real instrument is even more fun than Guitar Hero and definitely more rewarding in the long run. Yes, it's harder to learn. Get your friends to learn too and make a band. Cut three strings and learn like that (look for Jack White's comments on that). He'll pick up way more too (seen any Guitar Hero groupies lately?)
I'd argue you did in fact learn to dance while playing Dance Dance Revolution.
And yes, I will lazarus this...
Why does everyone say you should just learn to play a real guitar? Its just for fun. I don't remember anyone telling me I should just learn how to dance while playing Dance Dance Revolution...

You know it. I've been listening to electronica for a long time now. Glad that the channel was made here on VideoSift to showcase it.

The most effective way to get a red card...
Dude you missed the part where the player who took the red card was given one himself. Refs usually carry two, he pulled the second one out and gave it to him immediately. The player literally broke into tears and CRIED while walking off the pitch, great day for Portugal. BTW the first player fouled is Fabio Coentrao, he plays for Real Madrid now.
Poker Dealer Makes Huge Mistake
What @Duckman33 said. I keep my fingers on my cards constantly, especially when I'm playing for real money.
House Party Cat Jams Out To Electronic Music
Correction, cat follows idiot waving around a flash light while recording said cat, and then overlays music which would have surly scared the ever loving crap out of said cat if it had been played in real time.
The Onion - Just Give Me the Damn Sepak Takraw Ball
In the spirit of satirical suspension of disbelief, since Vietnam is one of the many countries in which sepak takraw is a popular and competitive sport, it's not impossible for a Vietnamese player to play for a Thai team, much like Ronaldo played for Real Madrid or Ronaldinho played for A.C. Milan despite neither being their country of origin. They just go where the money/talent is. Kinda adds an extra layer of "star player antics" to Nguyen's behavior, lol.

This is LMFAHS hilarious, except for the needle in my eye of them using a Vietnamese name for a Thai player on a Thai team who's speaking Thai to the camera. That's irksome.
Onion fail.
You've got to be joking: 2012 Edition
Something tells me that this is more staged than it is appears. If you view the whole video and pause to view the chatbox conversation, you'll see that the wording should not convince you that this just happen out of random or happenstance. If you've seen the other video, which involves killing the enemy jet with a RPG, that is more believable as it is all done while playing for real.
Jet swapping is possible and this video seems more like a proof-of-concept than a mere theory. As long as you can shoot a pilot out using almost any gun, the theory and idea will be there.
Underworld- Rez/Cowgirl Live LIVE LIVE LIVE LIVE LIVE*live*
>> ^BoneRemake:
>> ^Shepppard:
I wonder if this is live.
Not sure, it may be. google would know.
It's the kind of semi-live that electronica artists tend to do. There are so many instruments that it would require 20+ musicians to play it "real live". Just take a look at J-M Jarres concert where every sound was made live (sorry couldn't find a link).. It is still shame that they don't play the themes. The performance is more "meta", where the actual melodies are not played but their intonation, the emotion part of the sound is manipulated live (timbre, levels, effects etc.)
So to asnwer that, no it isn't "live" but it is live performance.. It all depends on the individuals own definition of live performance... Most electronic artists do their live in this format and as a performer my self, it certainly is as intense as old school live gigs, maybe even more as the technology is fragile.. Anything can go wrong by simply pressing one wrong button, just like in every other kind of performance..
HAWP - Fallout: New Vegas
I don not even see the appeal of no kill / violent interaction run throughs, it just seems tedious and boring. I like the dynamics of stealth... and getting caught and having to outsmart or out violent your foes. You see people wanting to stealth/no kill with any game that has some sort of stealth element. New Vegas was not made for pure stealth although its open world, I mean scorpions seem to know you are around much before you can even see them on screen... and most recently in the newest Deus Ex; it was clearly made for some level of violent interaction as displayd with the boss levels, plus it was pretty linear so I do not know what the appeal is.
I mean I hope someone takes on the Thief series again in a game engine like Oblivion because I think a real stealth game would require a larger world, large open spaces and a lot of fucking patience. The last attempt was good except for the supposed open world part.
If you want to play a real Stealth game play Operation fucking Flashpoint. I dont even like war but that game was amazing but even then you probably cant stealth nonviolently to the end.
