Thanks. I couldn't believe that this had not been sifted before, but the embed code was confirmed to "not belong to another video", in addition to returning no results when you get to the page where VS tries to suggest other videos that might be dupes. I don't understand why this one didn't show up.

You know me well enough to know I don't use shitty slide vibrato, considering I sat next to your ass for the better part of a season and a half with SJYS...

... and I was totally ready to reply back with a nice matter-of-fact comment completely obliterating the case for slide vibrato, then noticed the "fuzzyundies" handle and immediately thought: "Wait... where have I seen that before?"
Son of a bitch.

Slide vibrato @ 2:40... why...
Why the hate on the slide vibrato? Bone players do that in jazz solos all the time. To express an almost-completely uninformed opinion, it seems like most contemporary brass concerti are closer to jazz than classical anyway. Mr. Vert, are you suggesting you've never used a slide vibrato?

Welcome! I highly recommend you start with Videosift's FAQs, as most of your questions can be answered there.
http://www.videosift.com/faq-en.php
The thing about videosift is that it is difficult to get your own personal videos onto the site unless you persuade some other sifter to post them for you - the concept of "no self-linking" (not posting videos you made or have on your own YouTube or similar account) prevents Videosift from becoming inundated with people self-linking to themselves and artificially increasing their own stats, as well as preventing nonsensical home movies from flooding the site.
The rating system is other VideoSift members voting (up or down) on your video. You need 10 votes on a video to get it published to the front page, otherwise it sits in the "Unsifted" pile and if it runs out of time there and it will go into your "Personal Queue."
Hopefully that answers some of your questions... if you have any more I'd be happy to try and help you out.

Hi, I'm kind of new in this site. Where can I find tips on how and were to post nice video's and about the rating? I have a few more nice classical/rock video's I would like to share and get commented on.
Your reply will be highly appreciated.

Check that out, it's sorta become a ritual for him.

Where in that page did he acknowledge that it was staged? I'm not doubting that it is, but I couldn't find it.

The keyword(s) that got me to the dupes was "Man Stroke Woman," the name of the series.

*discard... i don't get it. i'm searching for dupes and none show up.
