Homosexuality not 'valid', NY GOP Candidate says

Morganth says...

You've forgotten the meaning of phobia, which is an irrational fear.

Look at something like actively oppressive sexism. If you're fundamentally and morally opposed to sexism, you don't want it endorsed by your government and you don't want it taught in your schools (and it is in some parts of the world!). However, would you say you have a phobia of actively oppressive sexist people? Probably not.

Thanks Mint... sorry I overreacted, but I have a chronic phobia for these things and am terrified to know they might be rampant around me! ... but yea, I think I heard something coming from further down south or something like jungle spread of parasites... Anyways, no worries, I have been hanging around the sift enough to figure out that your intentions are indeed pure, I mean, of course, one never really knows, but thanks for the crystal clarity, etc. And the whole embed thing, I imagine can be complicated, still gotta try it, etc... anyways, stay away from those worms!!!! good day.

Sorry, I certainly did not mean to insult Mexico. The video I first wanted to post mentioned that it was likely that he got the parasite during his trip to Mexico. But I couldn't find an embed and went with another clip that didn't mention anything about where he might have gotten the worm.
I will remove the 'mexico' tag.
Again, sorry about the mixup. I just took the key tags from the unembeddable video and wasn't thinking.

Some people hate cats. I know, my Internet friends, this is hard to believe - but I have met them. Usually they are people with allergies, a sand box in their backyard or with a phobia of toxoplasmosis.

Some people hate a kind of animal. These people are usually referred to as idiots or morons. Hate, seriously? I mean I don't like rats, but I'm not gonna go out of my way to harm one if it means no harm to me. I certainly don't hate rats, why would I? The actions of this woman were more likely motivated by her psychosis and not by a dislike for cats. Look at how she pets the cat before she throws it into the bin. If I didn't know any better I'd say she's a late blooming serial killer in the making.

I think that's why we love cats. We are see ourselves in them.

Well, I don't think "loyalty" is high on the list of reasons why people own/love cats. They're kind of cuddley, but they're egoists to the core.>> ^dag:

FTR, I love kitties, but I read somewhere that one difference between a cat and a dog - is that if a dog is shut in a room with a dead owner, he will eventually starve to death with the body of his master. A cat, on the other hand - will have a little feast.

Not trying to justify - just saying that rather than the illogical act of a psychopath, this may be the action of someone who sincerely and openly hates cats.>> ^Jaace:
I'm not sure I understand what you're saying here...it sounds like you're justifying her throwing the cat in a garbage bin because she's afraid of it or getting toxoplasmosis, etc.

Quit trying to apologize for that c*nt. A person who hates cats would just ignore the cat. Putting someone's pet in a garbage bin where the animal could potentially remain and die of dehydration is the act of a psycho. Bitch deserves to be taken out of the gene pool.

Rational and Irrational phobias, spiders/snakes/insects are potentially dangerous, it's hard to tell which are and aren't.
I've got a weird quasi-phobia of these things - spiders, anything larger than a £2 coin I don't like being on me.

Most of the poisonous spiders are small. Big spiders generally aren't poisonous.

People with a fear of spiders are less likely to be killed by spiders. Those whack arthropods will bite you, old school.

I've got a weird quasi-phobia of these things - spiders, anything larger than a £2 coin I don't like being on me. Anything smaller than that no problem. However, I don't mind it near me, or just being where I can see it.

Snakes, don't mind at all, wouldn't be keen on ones with nasty bites or poison however.

Insects, fine with the ones I know are safe and don't nip ya.

These all seem like rational phobias to me, unlike pickles and mayonnaise which seem kinda irrational to me...unless a pickle tried to drown you in a vat of mayonnaise you may as well have a phobia of something like the sound oranges make or the inside of envelopes.
