Of course I'm not very good at parallel parking and generally try to find a spot to avoid it. So I'm not one to talk I guess, though I'm fairly sure I could get into that spot with that car, or any of those spots those people tried to park their Smart.

The crucial difference is that the WBC doesn't issue death threats toward novelists/cartoonists, unless they've evolved their God Hates Fags campaign, that is.

Plus the international media is more than happy to paint the WBC with true colors: the same can't be said about the media's response to the muslim reaction toward Salmon Rushdie/Dutch Newspaper/Matt Stone/Trey Parker/et al.

In the case of an intentionally bad parker with complete disregard for everyone else, yes, parking properly will help show him that he has to play by the same rules as everyone else.

The other driver would have been a jerk if he came in early the next day and parked across two spaces.

To protect his precious car, all that ass has to do is park closer to the curb, leaving a huge gap on the side of the adjacent space.

I'd be curious what some of the jazz legends, like Davis, Monk, Coltrane, Parker.. would think of this guy. Would they think he's without a real talent? Or would they think he's got soul?

Yo spoco2, Parker and Stone covered the phenom quite well I thought on Southpark-In my experience and with Americans especially, people tend to become assholes to the uninitiated from point-of-epiphany, forward.

Impressive. Not sure what the rule is on assists vs a pass, but there were at least two of those highlights where the person receiving the ball made two or three moves before shooting.

For example, the last one with Duncan: Parker drives underneath drawing two defenders out of position. He then passes it to Duncan at the top of the key. The center steps up to defend Duncan, one of the guards stops under the basket to defend the player there and the forward stays with Parker who has run out of bounds. The defense is pretty much reset at that point. Duncan fakes a shot which pulls the center into the air, dribbles twice as a guard and forward move towards him and then floats it up and makes the basket.

Sure, Parker's move and pass was initially disruptive, but the defense was re-set. If someone else does 80-90% of the work to make the basket, did you really help that much?
