Africans Don't Like African-Americans

poolcleaner says...

I have a friend that claims Jamaican American but everyone just laughs at him or rolls their eyes like "mother fucker thinks he's special". So Africans hate African Americans and African Americans hate Jamaican Americans. Who do Jamaican Americans hate? Themselves?

I just refer to him as black. I'm white. He's black. Fuck all that see that as negative.

Life can be rough and if you believe you're above racism then all you really need to do is laugh at race issues, because it's all stupid shit. Whether you ARE a racist, or an insecure person unable to deal with racism towards you, or an insecure white person feeling the loss of white right, or an OCD know-it-all that likes to point out the flaws on either side of the racial fence -- it's all stupid, and you're stupid.

All I can do is laugh nowadays. I used to get mad, because occasionally, being in a permanent (marriage) interracial relationship, I'd get blasted by other white people as a "race traitor" or frowned at by people of my woman's race, but now I just laugh it off, or give a polite smile, if I'm feeling the burn.

So, without further ado -- Hahaha! Laughter is the best FUCK YOU in the racial playbook.

chingalera said:

Indeed Yogi, the term African American should refer to anyone who can claim total or partial ancestry from any of the native populations of Sub-Saharan Africa. I believe there's already terminology which everybody can feel comfortable with, with which to refer to, 'everyone'.

If you wanna blame someone for for having to hear the term, blame Jesse Fucking Jackson. You wanna blame someone for the word nigger or negro, it's time to start pointing fingers at the fucking Spaniards, and we have only pussies and assholes to blame for political correctness.

Shake That Pussy

chingalera says...

Look MilkmanDan, it was not the intention to offend you in particular, we merely leapt like a robot at an opportunity to snub a nose at rules-of-engagement relative to rules in-general and some of the more didactic pet-peeves some but not all have with regards to what we personally regard as insignificant, but that some folks seem to get bent-sideways about and begin these tiresome pedantic, didactic dull-ass comment threads.

Who cares if it's tagged incorrectly, who cares if it's marked long when it's really short? Who cares obviously some folks do and it bothers the shit outta them. There is no 'why', simply the questions of how what, when and who had a part in creating these inconsequential concerns in some people that it matters at all?

That you wanted to down-vote a comment suggests perhaps someone thought someone else was crude, mean, rude, or too direct or forward in their protest. We can live with that, as well as the supercilious reasoning for your not voting this video up, in our LTHO.

At the end of the day, you got yer cute kitty dragging someone's be-bootied -with-shoe-cover foot being dragged up close-in to a mischievous, playful cat's clawing with head-banging glee, and it's AS cute, as that slammin' chick's back-side in the screen-shot, unless you are from some other planet where rippin' asses don't stir your loins a bit, be you male or female, gay, straight or otherwise.

Glad you dug the misdirection as much as myself an we thank you for your sincere feedback.

Personally, I vote shit up based on the fact that the original submitter enjoyed the video enough to embed it, and at the end of the day it makes folks happy about contributing to the site and therefore the entire sift community benefits.

What really IS an affirmative vote anyway, but a gesture of goodwill and kindness directed outward from the wealth of consideration one has for oneself?

Do unto others, then run away as fast as you can...to paraphrase the rule.

Oh and the ass-wiping analogy was meant for all the OCD retentive types, the kind of people where everything has to be just-so or their fucking heads will explode....perhaps I should check a mirror??

Real Actors Read Christian Forums : Monkey People

enoch says...

@newtboy
"i know you are but what am i i"?

that had me cackling like a loon.bravo my friend.

please understand guys my comment is in reference to this particular thread, not any previous private or otherwise.

my commentary was also tongue-n-cheek and not to be taken too seriously.
i was poking the hornets nest...like a boss..who also happens to be a dick.

please forgive.

as for conflicting private to public messages.
well..that would infuriate me as well newt.you wont get an argument from me on that point.
that speaks to a persons character and integrity and explains a ton in regards to your attitude towards @chingalera.

our integrity is all we have.
when you take away everything, the only thing left we have to trade is our word.
our honor.
our respect for another human being.
when we lose that trust....we lose everything.

i do not know the particulars on how you all conversed in private.its none of my business and not my place to judge.

but if what you are saying is true newt (and i have no reason to believe it isnt.there is a past precedent in that regard) then i have to ask @chingalera why?

why say one thing in private and then another in public?
that is so disengenuious and un-necessary my man.
you make good solid points..often,and often i agree with them.
so why would invalidate them by interacting with such duplicity?

you cant call out newt for disregarding or dismissing your points because it was YOU who invalidated those points by your interactions with him.

and you know this.
dont act like you dont because i know your smarter than the average bear.so dont insult my intelligence by feigning innocence.

you owe newt an apology.period.

and dont prove @VoodooV right.we both were there when you flamed out and it was ugly.
and you made it ugly by taking it personal.
i never judged you for that..still dont.
but that does not mean i condoned how you played that closing scene out.
real people had real feelings hurt...including you.

now i realize this thread is destroyed and i dont even know who i need to apologize to.
so...
to the original poster:i am truly sorry for this tragic hi-jacking of your thread.

but it appears necessary.

@chingalera i realize that much of what you do is to shock people out of complacency.
to get them to perceive a situation with different goggles.
many times the weapons you use are confrontational language and a persistence that rivals the most glorious case of OCD.

those intentions are noble.
i agree and am of a similar mindset.this is probably why i can read choggie-speak with little trouble.

i understand what you are trying to do.

but how can you expect someone like @newtboy to listen to anything you have to say when you cant keep even basic correspondence open and honest?
it invalidates everything you attempt from then on out.
your words have to have the weight of your integrity behind them for them to have ANY impact.
you lose that and your words become dust.

sounds like you will have to work to gain the respect from @newtboy.i wish you well in that endeavour.

please understand i consider you a friend @chingalera and hearing this has upset me a great deal.

and @VoodooV,
you may be right brother.i do not know what the future brings.hopefully ching will prove you wrong.i know he could if he wanted.

but i disagree with keeping the riff raff out.
i dont mind confrontation or arguments.in fact i LOVE them and @chingalera has a talent for poking the hornets nest and shattering the monotone-vanilla-circle-jerk-clones into a frenzy.

and that my friend..is a good thing.

@chingalera keeps the locals buzzing, constantly challenging pre-concieved notions and ideologies and i love that fucker for that.he keeps this site interesting.his antics bring lurkers to actually comment/post and others who usually side-line to jump in.

all good things.

but...
i cannot abide the darker side.
the hurtful side.
maybe i am being naive'....i always see redemption for those who the entrenched masses see as unredeemable.i always feel i can save those who are truly lost.

i always see the human first and the actions last.

so you may be right.i just hope you are wrong.
maybe this thread will impact my friend and remind him we are all humans.

i dont know.........
i hope though...
i hope.

@ChaosEngine again,as i told newtboy,no argument here.
hopefully this derailed thread has cleared some air and brought the things to the table that needed to be discussed.

which from my viewpoint is about integrity.
you cant admonish people for being egocentric and then turn around and be egocentric yourself.
it weakens the very position you were trying to make in the first place.(ching, not you CE).
it is hypocritical.

i am a dissident.
a radical.
a subversive.
even to the church i am an apostate.
so i understand @chingalera on a certain level.he has never treated me other than a friend and compatriot.so it pains me to see how he deals with those he disagrees with, and just how far he will take a story to a painful conclusion.
this does not give be joy or pleasure.

he is a righteous dude.passionate, sensitive and creative and has soooo much to offer.
im sorry ya'all didnt get to see that side of him.
but maybe thats on him, because you all should.

there is a reason he has been invited back multiple times and its not because he whined about it but rather he truly is an exceptional human being.

maybe he should show that side more.
takes honesty and courage, but that boy has a huge capacity for that.

@chingalera
balls in your court brother.
what ya gonna do?

*note* for all those who read to this point.
cookies and milk will be served in the back storage room.
free fondlings for the ladies.
dont forget to tip your bartenders and waitresses!

World War Two Movie Making Gone Wrong

chingalera says...

I have mixed feelings regarding cycling enthusiasts. The ones who see the world as a polluted shit-hole because of cars, who dress in biking-gear and ride to work everyday and don't own a car, the SAME people who obsessively recycle their garbage and preach about it to others (as if the world would be a better place if everyone "recycled").

It's THESE insects, OCD, tweakers that I can't stand, self-absorbed, self-righteous gimps on two skinny wheels.

Add to that description the DICKHEADS that preach cycling-over-automobiles who intentionally stick their ass in the center of the road while conducting traffic and talking smack to drivers sharing the road with Professor Suicide??

THOSE motherfuckers, can moisturize my ballsack.

I had an old roommate who died in San Francisco during a Critical Mass ride, the poor fucker got creamed by a truck driver who was ALSO a dickhead, of the opposite persuasion.

I certainly believe that anyone who chooses a bicycle as their only means of transportation who do so in a large cities where the majority of people commute to work from rural areas in cars everyday, have a fucking death wish.
San Fran, NYC, Chicago, Philly?? No problem. Any city where cyclists are not very prevalent on the roadways, yer an idiot plain and simple.

shatterdrose said:

And typical non-cyclist response. Nothing new to see here either.

All I see is a bunch of assholes who honk at me, try to hit me on purpose (one intentionally ran me over), and hundreds of people a day with absolutely no respect for someone else's life. And all that happened while in the bike lane. Oh, the guy who ran me over? He hit me because I WAS obeying traffic laws. Both the person behind him and the officer both concurred.

So yeah, nothing new to see here, right?

Top 10 Worst Movie Casting Choices

chingalera says...

Thought so too, like, how do you cast a remake of King Kong anyhoo?? Black's character in that film in particular (can't really stand him in most films) suited the director's groove and Black's level of Jack...writing totally sucked, because why? Can't recall a single LINE!!! (close to 3 grueling hours)

@playback-HAH! Portrayed himself perfectly, pulled a Matrix like Reeves

John Wayne as Genghis screams tomes of the inner-workings of the OCD God of ta-tas and aeroplanes, that film was excruciatingly surreal-Howard Hughes flicks and a sanitized hotel suite with theater seats and room service....A freak can dream, can't he?

Jack Black was interesting to watch, as he usually is, so his work in King Kong was fine by me.

Man with OCD Recites Poem About his One True Love

shang says...

did more research, this guy doesn't have OCD, he's just a slam poetry performer and actor. Watched several of his other poems and he uses a different persona for each poem's theme. From sitting smoking a pipe to dressing in drag for a comedy one, to stuttering performing a King "speech" poem to this OCD act he put on.

decent actor I guess. But after seeing his website and learning he didn't have ocd, it sorta changes it.

Man with OCD Recites Poem About his One True Love

chingalera says...

I am beginning to realize after being with someone suffering OCD as the result of imprints and abuse that perhaps the best chance of a satisfying relationship for those so-afflicted is for them to pair-up and take care of one another if they can't keep the shit in check. Alternatives include paying for mental health professional's Mercedes, penthouse apartments, and Whole Foods grocery bills, or driving the relatively sane into a life of crime and drunkenness...

Somebody get this man on match.com and find him an OCD girlfriend!

ChaosEngine said:

I'm torn by this. It's a fantastic poem and an obviously heartfelt performance, but in many ways I think the girl was right when she said she shouldn't have let him get so attached to her.

Yeah, it's sad and he clearly loves her, but it's not fair on her either. He has loaded all these expectations about his life that only she can solve, and it's way too much pressure to put on someone. It's the very definition of an unhealthy relationship.

Stephen Fry Confesses 2012 Suicide Attempt

poolcleaner says...

Diet and exercise are also keys to overcoming these types of disorders (bipolar, border line personality, etc etc). And building up a support structure of people that understand, who are patient and accepting. Mostly other artists, musicians, some engineers -- though engineering minds tend to want to strip away the unnecessary, which we are to some degree. I say this from experience, not to say that all engineers are assholes, but, well, their OCD asses can't hang most of the time. We are a process that needs to be fixed. WHY IS THIS CABLE GOING THROUGH A SWITCH JUST GET A BIGGER CABLE.

The worst part about the disorder is the cynicism that it builds in oneself, associating with other cynical people, and then realizing that you're on the receiving end of your peer's cynicism and no longer one of the cool kids.

That's actually the worst part because we tend to be social animals -- socially awkward, but still social. And the bridges unwittingly burned and the visible signs of your own social demise, sometimes while in the midst of a manic stage, leads to a potential depressive state, wherein suicide becomes an unending thought.

I've never attempted myself, but I am a climber and have a tendency to walk along the edges of buildings. Not because I would jump but because I enjoy the rush and have little fear of death. I do this for fun outside of these states. Only between a thousand and one million thoughts of suicide in my life and half of them while in a position to inflict this upon myself. Yet I do not. Those're good odds in my book.

I once read that being suicidal gives you the power. The power to do anything for lack of the fear of death. And it's true. I tell everyone I encounter whatever is on my mind; the honest truth, even if it hurts. Everyone who knows me knows that if you want brutal honesty, I can deliver. And I could get up and walk to the ends of the earth because the other choice would be (perceptively) death. Well, then. Time to start running, Forest. Fear is the mind killer fear is the mind killer fear is the mind killer fear is the mind killer.

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind killer.
Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

NSA (PRISM) Whistleblower Edward Snowden w/ Glenn Greenwald

poolcleaner says...

That is why it is important to recognize your faults as just another human being, and then to align your entertainment consumption with entertainment that provokes and builds physical strength.

Be an early adopter, but not for the OCD obsession over the adoption, rather for what that new technology or entertainment means for for our freedom and the continuation of the species in civil society!

Be healthy and live in a healthy society. I know I have been out there and fuckin gung ho anti-police, but for good reason -- they drove me to a breaking point; a breaking point that I can finally see past. I don't fault institutions but the individuals that allow bad things to happen to good people and to society at large.

Be better, live better -- align your time with your positive agendas. It's not all a vicious cycle.

Likely that America will breathe out a collective "meh" in a few weeks as their attentions become, once again, waylaid by Twitter, Facebook, XBox, cell phones, Minecraft, Duck Dynasty, VideoSift... It's as if the ability of a society to resist the oppression of its government is inversely proportional to it's advancements in distraction and entertaining itself.

Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of citizens of Turkey are risking, and ocassionally paying with, life and limb over a few trees.
