For all we know you are clueless about video. How many dora cat videos of carrying fish have you seen in your life?

For the rest of us that have been around a few years. yes, this is a dupe. And yes it was a top video in its day. I'm not sure why the old videos always get replaced with copies. I mean it's like four years later. Why don't you submit numa numa... The rest of us saw this when it was newish.

Should I submit hampster dance next.

Way to buzzkill video! beg

Didn't mean to.

I just meant it from the "destroying the evidence" angle.

Sheesh....

You've got to admit that 2.5 minutes of watching hard drives being destroyed isn't exactly Gone with the Wind.

Or the "Numa Numa Dance" for that matter.

Slow Motion Genocide (Worldaffairs Talk Post)

13439 says...

The eDrama around here is loathsome to new members like me.

Someone is leaving because because other members either disagree or don't completely agree with their perspective on a specific world-affairs event. Is this really a big deal? It happens all the time on the intertubes. I've seen some real star members of other group-oriented sites leave, particularly ones that try and give ultimatums to "be more like what I want you to be or else", but the site lived on just fine without them.

Good interactive websites evolve and change in both membership and atmosphere as time passes. They must, because they are part of the internet culture which also changes over time (and Videosift is particularly affected by this, otherwise we'd still be seeing Numa Numa and All Your Base all over the friggin' sift).

I'm totally with gwiz here.

Farhad, some input on your subscription suggestion: I haven't experienced this place enough to want to pay to be here - it's fun so far but still has to prove itself to me, and the ad revenue that I am contributing to through my viewcount helps drive my "contribution" for now, unless Videosift indicates it's not enough to pay for the place. I wouldn't sign up to post just yet if I had to pay to.

I'd expect that if you were to introduce a must-pay-to-sift model, this place would run the risk of stagnating rather quickly with a few core members keeping it alive and discussing the good ol' days like a bunch of bored seniors clustered around a single cup of coffee at the mall and rehashing their operation and guessing who's gonna die next. Dunno for sure if that would happen, but I've seen it occur elsewhere.
---------------------------
Videosift IS better than YouTube with respect to its comments. The spam is generally more clever and light-hearted, there's occasional insightful debate, and there's very little "lol u fag0t".

You don't have to hear it over and over again for it to be true.

Finally, a Thai version of My Humps

lertad says...

Alas, let me enlighten all.

The name of this song in Thai literally translates into "The Dog is Barking", and it's "produced" by the label notoriously known for copying popular hits and turning them into so-campy-it's-fun-to-listen-to versions. (See the Thai Numa Numa song from the same guys here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dll25ljI_l8&feature=related)

So yes, they're singing "The Dog is Barking, The Dog is Barking, The Dog is Barking". Get ready to hear copied back as the hook in the next #1 international hip hop hit.
