GOP Electoral Strategy: Heap Scorn on the Unemployed

Keep Bush Tax Cuts for Wealthy (but not unemployment)

JiggaJonson says...

>> ^kronosposeidon:

"You should never raise taxes to cut taxes."
Well, I can't argue with that logic.

He didnt really answer the question being asked.

It'd be like, hmm, you're composing a sandwich at Subway, and the guy next to you asks for cheese, and gets three slices. Then you ask for cheese and get only one slice.

You say: "Well how come that guy gets more cheese than me? That doesn't seem fair."

Subway guy says: "You should never RAISE the amount of cheese on a sandwich to get RID of cheese on a sandwich."

Police told to arrest innocent people to meet targets

Porksandwich says...

I can't imagine that crime is decreasing in a time when a lot of people are underemployed if not unemployed outright. So hearing that they expect people to meet their "numbers" is just a stupid solution to a complex problem. When they could be using the non-inflated numbers to re-organize officer deployment to prevent more actual crime.

Of course there are those tax payers who sit by their window all day and want to see a patrol car go by every 60 minutes, or they complain. Just like there are people who complain when they see their mail delivery guy stop for a quick rest and some liquids when it's near 100 degrees out. So it's entirely possible their "meet the numbers" system is there as proof they are around in the eyes of the neighborhoods that have the complaints.

Iraqi Information Minister Mohammed Said al-Sahaf

Crosswords says...

I want whatever he was on! Our economy is not failing, gold rains from the sky every Thursday. I am not unemployed, I am paid huge sums of money for simply sitting around and being awesome in my many mansions filled with hotties.
