I know not the book, but I get a resounding 'meh' feeling from this.

Far from being not Tim Burton like, this looks a whole lot like a Tim Burton animation (which, seeing as it's the director of A Nightmare Before Christmas, stands to reason)... but then also kept making me think of the old 1970 Christmas animations like Rudolph... and that's not a good thing as I find them horrible.

So... yeah, being that I know nothing other than this trailer, I would not go out of my way to see this.

I'm I the only one in the world who can't stand Danny Elfman? The guy has practically ruined several of Burton's films that would have been outstanding without the horrid soundtrack. The Nightmare Before Christmas is the classic example. Beautiful art direction, wonderful animation, and an unlistenable soundtrack.
