When did Mr. Burns enter the race?

Yeah. They did the same thing for the who shot Mr. Burns mystery on the Simpsons -- I'm pretty sure they showed all the other versions on a later clip show.

In Toronto I always go down to one of three stores which are ticket re-sellers. They charge ~$2 for the service which I gladly pay instead of the ticketmaster MEGA-ripoffs.

Simpsons had a gag about this, with Mr. Burns enjoying Lollapalooza since he had bought Ticketmaster, instituted a 300% (or thereabouts) surcharge, which ensures a healthy mix of the "rich and the ignorant".

Good times.

But yeah, TM can go straight to hell (or maybe you should do as Burns and invest in them).

And I never knew that Conan worked as a writer for the Simpsons! Wikipedia says he was also a producer, 1991-1993.


Yeah - keep in mind that "producer" is a title they attribute to the show's writers from time to time, and mainly reflects the fact that he had a heavy involvement in those episodes.

Yeah, that's the one thing that tempers my enthusiasm about the show. <sigh>

Was anyone else reminded of the Simpsons episode where Mr. Burns hires Senior Spielbergo to film his biography? He convinces Ranier Wolfcastle to act at gun point, which is about as convincing as the performances here (not to downplay the hilarity of the submission!).

Listen, Spielbergo, Schindler and I are like peas in a pod. We're both factory owners, we both made shells for the Nazis, but mine worked damn it!

Holy crap, that Mr. Burns bit totally took me off guard. That was awesome.

Strange though, the story is quite a bit off from the original, unlike some other Simpsons remakes like the Odyssey and Hamlet.

Wow, I didn't know that that was a real thing! I thought it was just Mr. Burns!

I was only a baby. However, this reminds me of the Simpsons' Who Shot Mr. Burn.
