Trump propaganda stunt GOES WRONG

cloudballoon says...

That's his rating-busting, historically huge crowd right there! More than MLK!

Just one of dozens upon dozens of such incidents caught on camera now…every time he gets off or on a plane for instance, 95/100 times there’s no one there to wave to, but every single time he waves and points.

Democrats gave us slavery, Republicans gave us freedom.

newtboy says...

THIS ENTIRE STUPID PLOY IS PREDICATED ON THE RACIST IDEA THAT MINORITIES ARE TOO DUMB AND GULIBLE TO SEE WHO WORKS FOR THEIR INTERESTS AND WHO CONSISTENTLY WORKS AGAINST THEM. There’s a reason Democrats get in the high 85%+ and Republicans get around 10%+- of the black vote, and it is not idiotic confusion (well, the Republican votes might be).

The Democratic-Republican Party was founded by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison in 1792. It became the most popular political party until the 1820s. In the 1824 United States presidential election it split into several factions, one of which became the modern-day Democratic Party.

The new Democrats who continued supported slavery for almost 35 years were right wing CONFEDERATE democrats, the Republican who ended slavery was a left wing Federal government supporting anti-confederacy Republican.

Democrats gave you civil rights, confederate flag waiving Republicans are trying to take them away.
Notice, all of MLKs descendants are Democrats, and it’s not because they’re racists or white supremacists.

Bob wishes everyone was ignorant and dishonest like him and would simply deny the Southern Strategy of the late 60s happened, when the Republican Party went hard racist and hard right courting southern racists to save itself from massive losses in the South, and Democrats went hard left and inclusive supporting the civil rights movement to gain minority votes. Bob denies these inconvenient facts because he doesn’t like being told he’s in the racist fascist party…but there’s absolutely zero doubt about it, facts don’t change because idiots and liars deny them.

I also don’t approve of the pro Hitler, Pro-racism, homophobic, history rewriting lessons from the Ohio home schooling network for elementary school students that Republicans are circulating to teach YOUNG children that Hitler was a heroic paragon of virtue and MLK was a “deceitful, dishonest, riot-inducing negro. He is the face of a movement that ethnically cleansed whites out of urban areas and precipitated the anti white regime that we are now fighting to free ourselves from.” Again, this is directly from the home school lesson plans for elementary school children in Ohio, from the right.

That, sir, is fascist indoctrination of extremely young kids….by the far right.
There is absolutely zero Republican outrage over this indoctrination.

Summer of Soul - 2021

StukaFox says...

Nina. Fucking. Simone. There were some incredible artists during that time and then there was Nina Simone. Everything about her was amazing, from her childhood through the end of her career.

She sang this song -- totally new -- when MLK was killed. It is absolutely heartbreaking:

Chauvin Guilty of Murder as Calls for Police Reform Grow

newtboy says...

Lol.
Again, no, he wasn't caught having lied. He attended an MLK march, not a BLM protest. That's no where near the standard for jury nullification. Chauvin's horrendous defense, his lawyers incredibly bad job reaching near criminal incompetence, is a much better case....but his lawyer isn't arguing that.

But more baggage has come out....in the form of civil rights violation charges against all four. Two separate cases for Chavin including a case from around 2018 when he strangled a 14 year old child by holding him by the throat for 17 minutes while beating him in the head with a metal maglight repeatedly. Grand Jury indictments yesterday. D'oh!

Chauvin Juror CAUGHT Having LIED On Questionnaire, Attended BLM Protest, MISTRIAL Could Be Declared
What other baggage from the jurors will come out?
Who knows this information will be used by Chauvin attorney.

Chauvin Guilty of Murder as Calls for Police Reform Grow

newtboy says...

Bwaaahahaha. Too late. He might have been dismissed had it been brought up before deliberation started, but not now, it's over. Chauvin is convicted. You don't get a mistrial after a verdict, and a mistrial isn't exoneration, he would be tried again, with more witnesses and evidence. Even your video only claims it might help an appeal, not a mistrial. That cracker jack box law license isn't working, Bobby.

Chauvin's attorney is barely more competent than Giuliani. He put experts on the stand that hadn't examined the facts or evidence but came to conclusions anyway. His gawdawful defense is a MUCH better case for an appeal than a jurist that once wore a t shirt.

He may have a point that it's not proper to mislead on a questionnaire (although you support it, remember. Lying under oath is the smart thing to do if it helps your cause, according to you when Trump lied under oath in his depositions), but attending one MLK March doesn't disqualify a person from being a jurist, just like having a nice interaction with police or a decent estimation of them doesn't.

Edit: sounds like the jury question was had they participated in a blm protest, the rally he was filmed at was an MLK get out the vote rally Floyd's family happened to speak at, so he didn't lie.

It's a nothing burger brought up too late. He will appeal, and will bring this up, but it is far from meeting the standards to grant a new trial at this point. Even if he gets an appeal on other grounds, the evidence is overwhelming, he will simply be convicted again, possibly of harsher charges.

If he's not for some unfathomable reason, he will wish he was, because he will have a target on him and those with him for life. Prison is the safest place for him, and the only chance of safety his family has.

Sorry Charlie.

Edit: Funny how you are on the side of the murdering white cop and not the black murder victim here....and you still claim you aren't racist....but when a cop hurts a white woman or a violent white power MAGA moron you can suddenly see they're going too far.

Tulsa - Lincoln Project

bobknight33 says...

MLK, a man of peace. . Governor George Wallace DEMOCRAT, On his 1963, inauguration speech said “Segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever!” His inauguration speech was written by Ku Klux Klan...... Truth is a bitch Sorry Lincoln project 1/2 facts are no facts and hence do nothing but stir the pot of discontent.

The fight is not about Biden VS Trump. POTUS come and go.

Its really about Dems VS REPs. Which party is the best party of unity, equality for blacks.

Which party pushed equality more? Reps started the NAACP, Rep started the NRA to teach blacks how to defend themselves. Republicans push the civil rights act of 64 and 68. Dems pushed back but pushed a Dem potus to sign it.

Dems need black dependency to stay in power and need a dependent voting pool. Sad. Dems used people as slaves then and political pawns today.

Turkish T129 ATAK helicopters conducting a drill

newtboy says...

Lol. You're funny.
Ok, in your world, MLK, Ghandi, and Mandela were successful against tyrannical governments because their causes were backed by armed militants and their movements used threats of force not peaceful protests while clearly denouncing violence.
I don't live in that world. What color is the sky there? Do you celebrate MalcomX day there instead of MLK day?

Yeah...we're discussing America today.....but you must go back to when mechanical warfare didn't exist and the military used flintlocks to make an argument that your AK might make a difference against the military. *facepalm

You clearly aren't being rational. Good day.

On the chance your 'jokingly' isn't obvious, MLK, Ghandi and Mandela's causes ALL had support from those willing to use violence, aka better weapons would help.

Malcolm X would be the next most prominent figure beside MLK. Indian independence wasn't won with peaceful hunger strikes alone, and again lots of violence in South Africa.

Ghandi even bridged the gap to working alongside the effective army fighting for India's independence:
" I would rather have India resort to arms in order to defend her honor than that she should in a cowardly manner become or remain a helpless witness to her own dishonor.
But I believe that nonviolence is infinitely superior to violence, forgiveness is more manly than punishment, forgiveness adorns a soldier."

Speaking more to the point of America today, pretty much no civil war has been fought exclusively with civilians on one side, and the government, police, army and all other branches of the state united on the other. The reason being that if that kind of unity within the government against the civilian population exists, you ALREADY have tyranny.

In America, the example would be if a president or a particular political party decided to try for tyrannical over reach, would the American public be better equipped to resist that with or without guns? In civil war, guns give power to the majority of public opinion that would need to be there otherwise. In a nation with an unarmed public, whatever the majority of soldiers side with is likely gonna win. With an armed populace, the civilian opinion matters more.

I think it's an overall modest observation, and one that really doesn't in anyway make it obvious that the modest benefit is worth the costs. That is another matter, but you can't factually claim that there isn't a meaningful difference between an armed and unarmed population when facing civil war.

newtboy said:

You mean like MLK, Ghandi, or Mandela did?

Perhaps an extremely well armed fanatical populace with little to lose paired with impossible terrain and nearly zero resources to steal has that chance against some less advanced enemies....but again, I'm talking about Americans.
Americans have zero chance to win or draw against the U.S. military. None. Nada. Zilch. A temporary standoff with disastrous consequences is the best I've ever heard of, that's a loss.

As @jimnms alluded to re Afghanistan, civilians may not be able to 'win', but well armed civilians can certainly make it hard, bordering on meaningless for their opponent to win either.

No, automatic weapons don't guarantee liberty from tyranny. On the flip side, try opposing a tyrannical government without them.
