The new Olympic sport: Cunt Punching!

Stormsinger says...

>> ^Duckman33:

Observe the woman's behavior. Does she seem to be in duress? Does she seem to be an unwilling participant in any way, shape, or form? Does the guy not say "Ive never done this before, so..." indicating, I'm assuming, that he's never hit a woman before?
I'm fairly confident after watching this twice this is some sort of drinking game that she chose to participate in, knowing full well the consequences for said participation, judging from her willingness to let him hit her. I don't see anyone holding her there, forcing her to get hit. I see no malicious intent here. Y'all need to loosen up a bit.

No, actually. I don't need to. My opinion is that this video is a piece of pure shit. And yes, I have exactly the same view of those moronic pieces where it's two guys pulling this assinine crap. Stupidity and abuse is stupidity and abuse no matter the genders involved.

You don't like my opinion, that's on you. It's not my problem, and I really don't give a shit whether you agree or not that abusive, violent shit is wrong.

I -will- say that the more common this kind of crap becomes, the less time I'll be spending here. I've got better uses for my limited time.

Charlie Sheen in Ferris Bueller's Day Off

If Ferris Buellar's day off, The Breakfast Club, or that gem of a movie "10 Things I hate about you" taught us anything. It's that any uptight biatch with a bad attitude can immediately loosen up by going out with a juvenile delinquent.

Changing a Tire (In case you forgot from the last video)

Good video. Only recommendation I have is to step on the wrench to get the lug nuts loosened. Do the same when putting the lug nuts back on to make sure they're on there nice and tight.
Last thing you need is the tire falling off the car.

yea but maybe think of it this way, you may or may not know that 1 foot pound is 1 pound 12 inches(1 foot)from the center of your lever... Thats how my brain is telling me to write it.. either way..

You tell people to stand on their supplied tire wrench, which is generally 1 foot in length, as a rule. Therefore you are saying people to put their entire body weight on that wrench at its end, which say for me would equate to 193 foot pounds of torque, which is WAY THE FUCK too much for my bolt, or any average size car. I worked at a tire shop for a spell and generally its 150 and under for normal car.. More or less I am saying that is bad advice to give, if you put to much torque onto your bolt its going to stretch the threads. Put your tire on tight but dont go jumping on your tire wrench becuase your chances of fucking up your tires mount is increased.

and ya know, I re read it all to make sure it was non offending and shit, you said step on.. now I am going to post this just in case anyone does not know about what I said. step on, but know that you dont have to jump on it. and that you should get to a tire shop as soon as possible to torque your wheels properly.

Its only a set time until the united states/Canadian armies loosen regulations on fitness, how many police/rcmp officers do you see who have big bloated beer bellies and cannot run a quarter mile. its only time before our armies will accept mediocrity and the Asians will paddle over with their silent boats and influence us from thus forth.

CES 2011: Motorola Xoom Tablet

Disagree. I had the displeasure of setting up my Mom's "loosened up" new Win7 Toshiba laptop over Xmas. God, the layers of crappy "value added software" (spamware) from Toshiba, Norton etc I had to remove was awful. Tight control of all layers of the software stack AND the hardware results in a better end-user experience.
Keep it tight and sweet Apple.

Would it add complexity to allow flash or an SD card? I love that their operating system is simple, but they treat people who "open it up" for themselves like criminals. Most companies would benefit greatly from following Apple's model of simplicity, but that doesn't mean they have to exercise the same iron grip on available content.

That's all personal preference though. Android works well enough for me because I cut out anything I don't need. Others want something that "just works" without having to change anything. Either way, everyone is happier with better hardware. =)

Sweet... Apple better start loosening things up (eg. no SD card, restricted carriers, tight software control, no flash, etc).

Zakaria: Democrats AND Republicans are Being Keynesians!

NetRunner says...

Zakaria makes good points here, but I think he's being too generous to our political parties in suggesting that they actually pick policies based on some sort of economic theory.

Democrats seem afraid to really embrace Keynesian economic theory. If they did, they'd fire back at all this shit about deficits being an urgent problem, and point out that in the short term what we need is a big deficit. They'd also call on the Fed to do everything they can to loosen monetary policy as much as possible. Liberals generally aren't interested in macroeconomics per se. For them, it's more about the moral necessity of promoting a more egalitarian society. That often means setting up public policy that follows Keynesian economic prescriptions, but I don't get the sense that very many Democratic politicians really know much about Keynesian economics, and I can't think of any that call for the government to dogmatically follow it's advice.

Republicans on the other hand clearly don't subscribe to any economic theory in particular. Instead they just latch on to whichever one supports the political maneuver of the day. Republicans may be saying that tax cuts stimulate the economy, but that's only when it's their kind of tax cuts. They claimed the tax cuts in the stimulus wouldn't create jobs because the bulk of them went to poor & middle class people, and because they were temporary. That's primarily a Monetarist view; tax cuts are only stimulative if they're permanent.

Republicans also like to take pages from the Austrian playbook. Much of the fixation on "supply-side" policy requires you make the central Austrian mistake -- believing that supply creates its own demand. Lately we're hearing more and more BS from Republicans about wanting the Fed to tighten up monetary policy, something that's contrary to both Monetarist or Keynesian theories, but fit in just fine with the gold-obsessed Austrian zombies.

Through all of this though, you'll often find Republicans insist we dogmatically adhere to whatever economic principle it is they're parroting at the moment, and it's always fun when a journalist manages to call them out on conflicts between them (e.g. deficits kill jobs, but not when they're from tax cuts?).

How to make authentic horror movie blood

blankfist says...

This recipe is pretty damn good. It does look a bit runny to be practical when filming on the body. I have an easy quick method. Use light maple syrup (not real maple syrup, but that fake sugar water shit from Aunt Jemima). The consistency of the light syrup is already perfect so you don't have to add water to loosen it like you would corn syrup. Then add exactly what he said: red, blue and yellow.

You can use the flat side of a plastic knife to create realistic streaks of blood down hands and faces or whatever else.
