How Women Are Written In Sci-Fi Movies

newtboy says...

I stand corrected. I had thought it started on Amped in the 80's, but Wiki says Liquid Television in the 90 s.

An exception proves the rule, too many exceptions disprove the rule. Yes, it was an outlier, most great things are.

*90s.

i would say aeon flux is also an exception for precisely the reasons you gave. it was also wildly outside the norms at the time and now.

Oh yeah. I still have a couple of VHS tapes of Liquid Television in the garage, including the entire Aeon Flux series they aired. Good times.

I didn't know anyone made this movie. Now I'll have to find it somewhere.
I also didn't know Riddick was really just an attention whore. Across for attention, lengthwise for results.

Oh! It's Aeon Flux, not the bad hollywood movie they made a couple of years back, but the animation that used to be on Liquid Television.

Hi Persephone... just wanted to say, I think your avatar is quite beautiful.
The whole pomegranate/Hades thing - The story of Persephone is my favourite Greek Myth of all time.
I delight in the way it offered an explanation for the changing seasons/growth cycle, due to the sadness, and then joy of he mother, Demeter, as Persephone is forced to divide her year between her abductor and her Mother.
Thanks for keeping me reminded!
