Good point; I was just razzing you a bit James. It was a very valid point and my initial euphoria for the girls has subsided.

Having said that, the quality of their vids is way better than a bunch of other lip-synchs, including some truly awful stuff that proves your point: the #1 vid on the weekend for Google Vid (Canada, I presume), was this nasty Shakira parody that really didn't deserve to be ranked so high. So in many respects, I agree with you.

V. good interview... had a chuckle when I read about the relationship between quality/popularity and that "lip-synching videos come to mind in particular here". I think it's an area where we may disagree.

BTW, interesting feature of "last 5 discards" -> a video with no title, when discarded, is invisible. Not a big deal, since having no title was part of the reason it got discarded in the first place; just an amusing observation.

But I thought it was funny _because_ it was poorly done with the cheesy sort-of-Austrian(!) accent, the mangled guitar playing, the sloppy lip synch. Carefully crafting something in order to make fun of Yngwie Malmsteen would be more pathetic than funny.

This gets my vote for the brilliant lip synching. They must have watched hours of footage to get that right.
