Choggie Eats Po!!!!

$15M in ads from WH propaganda group try to make 911=Iraq

Memorare says...

"We have bases, supply line. Supplies. Bunkers. Strongholds.
And anything you could deem necessary for waging a war. "

Anything necessary for waging a war...
Like the lives of ANOTHER 3500+ US soldiers that will just be pissed away for nothing?
Like ANOTHER few Thousand who'll be crippled, blinded and disfigured for life?
Like ANOTHER few Tens of Thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians who will be killed by this bullsht?

The only soldiers who claim to have "actually been there" and talk crap like that were the techs stationed safely in Kuwait, or MPs sitting safely in the green zone, or grunts floating safely offshore on some carrier, who never "actually" took part in any "actual" fighting themselves.

South Park: Ms Garrison explains Evolution

Ms.Information says...

There is another, fairly obvious, effect of having such an enourmous moon. (The Earth-Moon system is sometimes, incorrectly, being described as a double planet system, as our moon is so big.)
It provides light. Granted, not by itself, but still it lights the dark side of the earth often enough for nocturnal animals to evolve. Without it all animals except bats and stuff would spend the dark (and stormy) nights sleeping. With it you can evolve a reflective surface in your eye and hunt. That can in time lead to a more complex ecosystem and more complex forms of life. Like us, for example.

Bond Gets Owned - Casino Royale

detlev409 says...

Keep in mind, Rembar, that she was an employee of the treasury, not MI6. Bond might be able to write off another's life like that, but I don't think her character would have had nearly the formative effect on Bond if she'd already been as cold as he was.

How-To Find and Stimulate a Woman's G-Spot

pragmatick says...

This thread is hilarious, but I can't see any reason why this video is on #1. The animation is crude, the speaker sounds bored, especially when saying the last sentence. There's a great episode of Cathouse where they explain it, first one I think. Much more entertaining and life like.

Chinese Matriarchal Tribes

persephone says...

You're assuming the monk thinks like you, Glu. He could also be ignoring the question because, since he recognises that with more and more exposure to Han culture, his religion could indeed become obsolete and that it makes sense, as you observed, to focus on the positive aspect of his culture, which is that peace and harmony is valued and nurtured within a unique family structure.

These people are not monotheists, but they are deeply spiritual and the rituals they perform at all the important milestones in life, like births and naming ceremonies, coming of age ceremonies and wakes, have played a huge part in shaping their amazing culture.

Extraordinary Breastfeeding - How Old Is Too Old?

choggie says...

Veronica believes, that children should decide for themselves, when to stop breastfeeding."

Veronica, is fucked up in the head, her children, as a result, will most likely be as well.

This particular manifestation of oral imprint, is rare, though not so much in primitive or in an unmodernized segment or group. Bet this woman tends to keep her kiddies under watchful eye, 24/7, not many social contacts, and can just bet if most met her, they'd see the tweaK, but not be able to call it anything but, "Jeez, that woman and her poor kids."

Veronica's oldest is chubby in the cheeks, too. Mom probly' came running every time she cried, and put the goddamn nipple in her mouth as a cure-all.....

Hello???!! Babies have different cries, not all of them mean hungry!!!! These poor kids will turn to putting things in their mouth, when life gets life-like...... but for now, safe in la la la la land, with whack-job mom!.......(where in the fuck is this woman's dickless wonder of a husband!!??)

The Freedom Torch - The reason why women smoke today

choggie says...

The most poigniant aspect here perhaps, the symbol addicts that we domesticated primates are. Symbols used to spin all manner of excess, irrationality, and realities.....The fact that one event, staged and executed with the gullibility of humankinds' nature understood, should make any and all wary of a bill of goods that strays too far from the arena of common sense....
Perhaps issues gravely affecting our collective quality of life

like
-petroleum being the only major source extant to provide power
-an abundance of religions which spring forth from the same collective unconscious
-the absurdity to most that there were and are, people who orchestrate events on a planetary scale, to amass empire
-Global Warming
or whatever else reeks of irrationality.....

so, who thinks Kennedy was killed by Oswald......anyone???

Robot Ride

LadyBug says...

i was waiting for that arm to take on life-like qualities and start pounding him up and down while saying: malfunction ... malfunction!! eeeeeeeeeeek!

Wii is HERE!!! (Sift Talk Post)

LadyBug says...

WOW! is all i can say!

let's just say that the console has not been turned off all day. being the sensible mom ... i suggested that we just start with the Wii sports and see where that takes us! well, almost 8 hours later ... we will definitely be getting zelda (and i'm going to get 'trauma surgeon' *wink*).

it is so life-like. there is no lag ... the play is extremely fluid. of course the graphics aren't as crystal as would be with the PS3 ... but it's so immersive that you don't even notice. the game cube games & controllers are compatible with it and there are add-ons like the tennis racket, golf club and steering wheel.

we all made a Mii character (which was extremely customizable < if i had thought enough about it in advance ... i would have bought an extra to sell on ebay. they were going for about $600 this morning. now they're down to about $400 or so!

i think that's it for now!! time to make din-din!

Final Flight Of The Osiris (Animatrix) Incredible Graphics!

Final Flight Of The Osiris (Animatrix) Incredible Graphics!

bnsa says...

In the Matrix 3, they make reference to this video (the crew seeing the surface, Osiris being attacked) and had she not made the drop with info about the pending attack, Zion would have been caught off guard.

That's a pretty cool tie-in and the animation is so life like... ;-)

Travis Meeks Rocks!

deathcow says...

Some of us play life
Like a board game
It's new
Fun
And you play it
With people
There's a time
You get tired
And you put it away
Then one day
You get it out
And the pieces are broken

Self-discipline
I want to feel before you
Take it slow
Feel before you, yeah

That's where I stand
Where I stand
Where I stand
Where I stand
Some of us live life
Like we didn't know it exists
Care
Got to care
Or it fades away
Then one day
You come to life
And living is over

All is not well - Iraq vets facing PTSD (graphic images)

joedirt says...

I think there was a lot more coverage of Vietnam.

The point is that too many soldiers are coming home and suffering from major PTSD. Heck, all the massacres you are hearing about of Iraqi civilians have all gone back to PTSD, and the 14yr old girl story, also was ptsd.

The subject in this video took his life, like many soldiers traumatized by this occupation. (It's not war until Congress declares war, but you'd have to believe in the Constitution to have this view)

Japanese Crawling Robot

dotdude says...

I found this on iFilm. When I did a web search, I found it also on Google Video. You can see more than this clip for 99 cents. I didn't realize it was really a teaser to get you to pay more.

The description reads:

Japanese performance artist Momoyo Torimitsu takes her robot for a crawl in downtown Sydney, Australia. Crowds watch the bizarre sight of the life-like Japanese businessman in suit and tie slowly crawling on all fours along the pavement. The robot is a symbol of the Japan's rigid Salaryman culture.
