VideoSift's SOPA/PIPA Response (Sift Talk Post)

I wonder if Google and Facebook will get on board. I can see their thinking on this; 12 hours of down time for Google means giving up 1/730th of their profits for the year - which doesn't sound like much - but is not an insignificant number for a company like Google.
It's a leap year so it'll only be 1/732nd of their profits. Much more affordable
Herman Cain's confused view point on abortion
I support it, except when I don't support it, and especially on the third Tuesday of each month except on leap years or years evenly divisible by 42. An exception is when voices from invisible winged people from a nearby quasi-dimension talk to me in my head telepathically and tell me to do things.
How long does it take for the earth to go around the sun?
My 8 year old son said 24 hours
My Wife looked puzzled after just hearing my son's answer but conceded to the 24 hours because she wasn't sure.
My 13 year old daughter heard us from the kitchen and piped up with "That's not right, it take a year..."
It takes roughly 365 days for the Earth to go around the Sun once. This means that the Earth is rushing through space around the Sun at a rate of about 67,000 miles per hour! The time it takes for the Earth to go around the Sun one full time is what we call a year.
Actualy, it takes 365.25 days for earth to orbit the sun, however because you cannot live a quarter day every year it was decided that every four years there would be a leap year with an extra day to compensate!

Zero Punctuation: Heavy Rain
Too bad Sony's God damned leap year bug caused me to lose every Trophy I had earned in Heavy Rain. 8 Hours or so down the drain. Otherwise I dig it too, but that really put a damper on it. Ah well, I'll get back to it after I get through God of War III.
PS3 Error Code 8001050F Rage
Just so you know, Sony, I lost my God damned Heavy Rain trophies because you don't understand leap years!
Atheism Exposed!!!
the earth doesn't rotate every 24 hours, it rotates every 23 hours 56 minutes (I think thats right anyway, might be a little off). But this causes us to have 'leap years'.
Why does he bring up the 'eye' - it's not perfect, by a long shot!
What If We Had No Moon?
I agree with all the Patrick Stewart upvote suggestions... also... I may be a radical but I believe the Earth has to be at least 6008 years old... minimum. I mean with leap years and everything it only makes sense!
Who killed the electric car -- complete documentary
I wish people knew about this and the desert full of rusting, crushed EV1s. You think Joe Camel cartoons for kids is evil... this was truly evil.
I drove one of these cars, and they were amazing. They go 50-100mph at the same accelerations as 0-50. Just crazy fast and a leap year ahead of even modern Priuses. Auto makers basically stalled 5 years of development and are now realizing Prius demand is again creating waiting lists.
