Again I'll try with a Catholic comparison, do we all agree that atleast 95% of Catholics are NOT child-molesters? sure we do. Can we at the same time admit that child-milestation is a major problem in the institution that is the catholic church, and that it is a HUGE problem even explaining why so few Catholics see a major problem with their leader (read:appointed half-god) has facilitated in these crimes?, and why so many Catholics rush in to support him?

I implore you to be realistic here: I and Thunderf00t know full well that most Muslims are not violent maniacs, I happen to live in a neighborhood with a large Muslim population, for instance, and can easily testify that most Muslims are easygoing people who just get on with their life. However, I think there are some serious problems with the way Islam makes people think (or rather not think). And as mentioned above, we know from experience that this isn't a matter of a few angry isolated mobs burning flags. Muslims all over the world are simply at odds with the basic democratic rights of other people( both Muslims and non-Muslims.), and trying to pretend otherwise is just silly.

Yo, tweaking the channel colors is easy-there should be aan option for background colors, etc. Each place you can plug in HTML colors (chart on wiki) and then save the changes and test the look......you can change them until you get it right.....here on the VS, there is a spectrum of pastel colors allowed by the site, if you plug in an unacceptable one, the system will give you an error message.


Hey-Since I don't have a channel anymore, I am not able to see the options available to those who have one...the screen for tweaking the colors is not available to me-DotDude can help you out, is always more than happy to....He's MIA lately-Another helpful critter would be Blankfist or KP....... kronos loves to help out when he's not indulging in his primary program....What I would suggest is to take a look at someone's channels vibe you dig an hit them up-I could were it not for me not being able to have a screen in front of me-Gonna go find me some classic Electronica.

I dont know if its a matter of letting the community decide, or having the powers that be decide. Its more a case of having a set guideline as to what should constitute a channel. In the other thread, Krono mentioned how the line between tags/channels/playlists has been blurred over time, and I think this is a result of that. If that is the case, then why have any of it? Each thing has its own purpose and should serve a certain function.

Tags: Used to make youre video visible to certain keyword searches.
Channels: Displays videos of a certain broad themes governed by a standard which is moderator controlled to preserve quality.
Playlists: Personal, user customizable lists of videos of your choice.

The Wilhelm Scream is nothing but an obscure movie reference about a reused, signature scream. What purpose does it serve for it to have its own channel? It fits quite well in the Obscure or Movie channels. Does the traffic to those videos warrant its own channel? Sure it may just be a spot out there on the internet, in its own little corner not harming anything, but then where do you draw the line? How about an Astronomy channel in addition to Spacy, or Physics in addition to the Science channel. Christian and Jewish channels in addition to Religion? I post a lot of things from the Sixty Symbols series, why dont I have a channel for that? Do you see my point? If you let the number of channels get out of control with subtopic channels that are covered in a broader "parent" channel, then you'll just have a giant mess of channels that frankly aren't really needed, and annoying to go through when choosing channels when submitting a video.

A site like this needs standardized topic channels. If someone wants to make a list for a more specific single topic, thats what playlists are for.
