Mommy, Where Does Our Food Come From?

Interesting find.

And just like Koyaanisqatsi, all that is really needed is to put the unadulterated shots on display. There's no need for a narrator to tell you how you should feel about it.

Amazing. That was so artful and poignant. The last two shots were just... fuck humans. Haha.

EDIT: Just watched the full film. It's very reminiscent of the "Quatsi" films. After some digging, it turns out Ron Fricke (the creator of Samsara) was the original cinematographer for those as well.
I really love films like this, and this is probably one of the best yet. Amazing look at at human existence.

Stunning. The only thing that detracts a little is the music.

I agree. It almost looks as if it could be as good as Koyaanisqatsi (trailer), only the music really doesn't fit. If only this video could have music composed by Philip Glass.

Humanity vs. Yosemite Timelapse in HD

Croccydile says...

I'm a bit of a sucker for timelapse with Koyaanisqatsi and Baraka being in my list of favourite films... he did a pretty good job with this one although I would have told him to use a ND filter to make the sequences with people less stroboscopic and more fluid.
