Kissinger calls for 'New World Order' AGAIN 1/5/2009

Kissinger is looking like a shrivelled, dried up coconut. It was a term used by Paul Keating to describe John Howard, but I think it's apt here. Now, is there a rule that says I can't post a comment without upvoting? I don't feel strongly about the clip.

No.. you're allowed to do as you wish... and thanks for clearing up what you meant by it.

New McCain Ad begins playing in Ohio

kronosposeidon says...

Let me tell everyone here something, because I'm mildly drunk and I feel like it:

McCain is NOT now, nor has he EVER been, a fucking maverick! I don't give a flying fuck that he spoke against the likes of Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson in the 2000 election cycle. He was doing that for a reason: To set himself apart from the other candidates, trying to make a name for himself. In other words, he was doing it for POLITICAL reasons. Also, let's not forget that in his second fucking term in the United States Senate he got busted for his involvement in the Keating 5 scandal. That's your fucking maverick, folks.

I am so sick of this narrative about "Maverick McCain." Even some Democrats say "he USED to be" a maverick. WRONG. He has voted the party line just as much as any other Republican Senator, and he has consistently voted for Bush policies. Not just Bush the Douchebag, but Bush the Elder Douchebag too.

Don't let 'em fool you for one second about this "maverick" shit. He's a desperate, crotchety old man with a sense of entitlement. He thinks that just because he's an old veteran (and Obama's not) that he deserves the keys to the Oval Office. Yeah, every old veteran deserves every fucking thing they ask for. Now before someone accuses me of troop-bashing, I'll remind you that I'm a veteran too, so I'll say this: Most veterans aren't cut out to be President. Is that a bad thing to say? NO, only because most PEOPLE aren't cut out to be President. In other words, he ain't getting a veteran's discount from me.

Attacking a fellow veteran, McCain? Rev. Wright also served his country in the United States Marine Corps, asshole.

It is indeed Joe Wurzelbacher

How the heck does a plumbing company make over $250K AFTER tax deductions? That would mean that the company would have to net nearly half a million per year! That's some MAJOR plumbing with many employees! And such a company, then, would deserve (and even desire) taxation--at it helps those who would be potential customers!

But then, in this Joe the Plumber fantasy land, it helps if your father is the son-in-law of McCain's crook-in-chief, Charles Keating.

You bet there are also Stupid, uneducated, uninformed sheep voting for McCain, but the video was an Obama piece.
It is sad that this country would rather know watch some lame TV show than look at the political issues and who stands for what... The current crop of promoted Presidential candidates is a choice between a Democrat and a Socialist. Both systems are against the founding fathers hard work to create a Republic.

Obama is Anti American. Look at his past and who he associates with. You are the company you keep.

Your comment was good all up until the last sentence. So lets see, secessionists wish to be separate from the US, and the keating five a scam on the United States people. That is anti United States, by the way I am not an American I am a United States Citizen first, and because I live on an American continent.

America is a product of flawed conventional wisdom, created by the degradation of our independence, we are the United States, which are a part of the American Continent, this makes us US citizens (and its people who may not be citizens)first before we are Americans.

We're all living in America,
America is wunderbar.
We're all living in America,
Amerika, Amerika.
We're all living in America,

We're all living in America,
Amerika, Amerika.

Joe the Plumber has questionable ties...

Trancecoach says...

Huffington Post had it on their website until recently.

Robert J. Elisberg wrote:

"Just when you didn't think things could get worse for John McCain - they go in the toilet. Literally. So, you remember Joe the Plumber, who John McCain kept relentlessly bringing up. And up. The apparently undecided plumber who had complained to Barack Obama that he couldn't buy his own plumbing company because he'd have to pay 3% more in taxes. The plumber who John McCain lauded as an Everyman while oddly proclaiming "Congratulations! You're rich!" in the midst of a disastrous recession. The fellow who said that Barack Obama "tap dances better than Sammy Davis Jr."That guy. Well, it turns out he's the one gliding around the dance floor so much, you should expect to see him soon on "Dancing with the Stars."You see, Joe Wurzelbacher is apparently related to Robert Wurzelbacher. Who is the son-in-law of (are you ready...?) Charles Keating!Yes, that Charles Keating. The Charles Keating of the "Keating 5" Scandal. For which John McCain was reprimanded by the United States Senate, for his involvement in attempting to illegally influence government regulators. The Charles Keating who John McCain has been trying to avoid have mentioned. So, he basically mentioned it 24 times."

It is indeed Joe Wurzelbacher

honkeytonk73 says...

He is apparently an operative... check a few news articles and some posts which will without a doubt be appearing on the various video sites out there within the coming few days. Investigations are under way, and there is a lot of contradiction surrounding 'Joe'.

This guy has a huge dubious dark cloud hanging over him. He is not a licensed plumber though he does in fact have a plumbing business. He never was licensed, and contrary to his Facebook page, he NEVER was in the local 189 as he claims.

By the way.. his name isn't Joe. It is Samuel.

There is even a supposed accusation that he is related to an individual involved in the Keating 5 and Savings and Loan scandal which McCain was reprimanded by Congress for. I want to learn more about that reported connection to see if it actually has merit. If it does have merit, McCains run for the presidency will flush down the crapper faster than McCain can change his sanitary undergarments.

Quite ironic if a supposed plumber flushes a campaign down the toilet.

Obama and "Joe the Plumber"

aspartam says...

Turns out that Joe Wurzelbacher from the Toledo event is a close relative of Robert Wurzelbacher of Milford, Ohio. Who’s Robert Wurzelbacher? Only Charles Keating’s son-in-law and the former senior vice president of American Continental, the parent company of the infamous Lincoln Savings and Loan. The now retired elder Wurzelbacher is also a major contributor to Republican causes giving well over $10,000 in the last few years.

McCain finally doing the right thing.

10317 says...

i agree with many here that mcain is not a bad guy,but one thing mcain most assuredly is,is an opportunist.that has been his most glaring trait, yet i dont see many pundits, liberal or conservative, pointing that obvious fact out.
the only reason why mcain got the "maverick" nickname was due to the fact during the "saving and loan" hearings(the keating 5),mcain was upfront about his involvement, and actually apologized and asked to be forgiven/
that was it...one "im sorry" and BOOM,he's a maverick, which he then parlayed in the coming years into almost a political brand-name.but if you peruse his voting record,well...not so "maverick-y".what you will also find, among his bad-tempered tirades,is that he is a genuinely likable fellow.
not a bad sort at all.
the reason why this showing of decency and respect is so confusing to many,is that mcain has been a literal puppet for the republican political machine.he is being told what to say,and how to say it.all based on polls, focus groups and a veritable treasure trove of political machinations.
thats why the john mcain we saw in 2000 is unrecognizable to the mcain we see today.
but we all recognize the tactics, now known as "rovian tactics",and why?
because they WORK,or they did,for many, many years, the FEAR quotient worked on the american populace like a hyper-fight-or-flee drug.make people SCARED of a nominee, and your victory is in the bag.
to my utter joy, elation and amazement, those tactics this year seem to be backfiring.no small part due to the internet and its growing independent media.
but i dont think its just "rovian tactics", that strip a politician of his humanity.i think polling and focus groups can be overdone, and cause an almost draining of personality from a politician, remember al gore in 2000?
remember years later when we saw him speak and we were all like "where was this guy in 2000"?
macain is not a bad sort, its his campaign managers, and his advisors, who strip him of his humanity and leave us all watching a puppet dangling from strings.twitching like vacuous doll experiencing a grand mal seizure.
i apologize for the length of my comment, but i felt it necessary to point out the myopic nature of our current political "popularity contest",and who really deserves the blame for the dehumanizing of our politicians.
i dont agree with mcains policies, but the choice of his campaign to delve into "rovian tactics" was his campaign,it's leaders and advisors.
my hope is that these tactics in 2008 will result in an epic fail.in which case will mean that campaign advisors will steer clear of future "rovian tactics" and maybe become more creative, and MAYBE..hope hope hope..create a civil, informative and honest campaign.
we can all hope,cant we?
but my over-riding misanthropic cynicism says that palin will continue to appeal to most base, ignorant and bigoted of us.
i hope in wrong.
till next time..peace.

John McCain's Keating Five Problem In 97 Seconds

ShakaUVM says...

What the left-wing Huffington Post doesn't tell you is that the prosecutor on the Keating 5 case found no evidence against McCain, and wanted his name dropped, but was not allowed to drop his name by the Democrats, who wanted to drag his name through the mud. Here's the relevant section from wikipedia:

"By March 1987, Riegle was telling Gray that "Some senators out west are very concerned about the way the bank board is regulating Lincoln Savings," adding somewhat ominously, "I think you need to meet with the senators. You'll be getting a call."[10] Keating and DeConcini were asking McCain to travel to San Francisco to meet with regulators regarding Lincoln Savings; McCain refused.[11][7] DeConcini told Keating that McCain was nervous about interfering.[7] Keating called McCain a "wimp" behind his back, and on March 24, Keating and McCain had a heated, contentious meeting.[11]"

Also:
"Initially the committee investigated in private. On September 10, 1990, Bennett submitted a confidential report, which soon leaked, that recommended that the committee continue its investigation of Cranston, DeConcini, and Riegle, but take no action against Glenn and McCain,[31] as there was insufficient evidence to pursue the latter two."

William F. Buckley's Son Endorses Obama (Election Talk Post)

volumptuous says...

His endorsement was very backhanded, and apparently Buckley (who's father I never admired, and mostly was disgusted by) hasn't read one bit about Obama's platform.

I love how Buckley says the only thing McCain was guilty of in the Keating Five scandal was "accepting plane rides and vacations". Uggh. What a scam artist this guy is.

And it's quite telling that he's afraid to post this on the blog created by the company his father built. That blog and it's foaming-at-the-mouth state of affairs is the Buckley story now, and a pathetic one at that.
