I went to a pub once with a friend of mine. He was in a band and with a few of his friends who were doing a music degree. The pub happened to have a karaoke on that night and people were getting up and singing, or at least trying to.

A couple of the girls we were with got up to sing. They were both incredible singers and both of them silenced the bar. It was incredible, really talented people. I wouldn't have been surprised to find out they were famous people in drag. Unfortunately the world doesn't work like that and there are very few breaks for these people.

I'm upvoting for the way Jewel could light up the bar without people knowing who she was. She didn't need the fame to carry her. She deserves to be where she is, she's a talent. Some of those in the spotlight really couldn't pull this off.

Then, as the site became more and more filled with farts, cats, newsclips, and all manner of Hieronymus Bleggh, she and he disassociated, got hornier once they dragged themselves away from the puter went and had a cute little Japanadian baby, and the rest is history...cute history.

She's still around, but that bundle of volcanic island cuteness has her being more of a mommer than a sifter...thak god she still finds time to paint and draw!!

You are one twisted, fineart, puppy!...and I would love for you to introduce me to all your single Japanese girlfriends-I hear the ladies of Japan love us sensitive American boys-who treat them like queens instead of servants and chattel....and who enjoy cunnilingus and tip good at restaurants and can sing karaoke and play electric guitar and who ride Harleys' and love tube amplification and tiny electronics and ....(man I need to get my ass to Japan before it sinks!)

Teen Spirit is in F minor and Rick Roll is in Db Major, which are related keys, so they actually do share the same set of scale notes. You generally can't just throw a major melody onto a chord progression in the relative minor, as shown by how this video's sound turned out. It isn't just that the root isn't the same as the chord progressions, but you also get a lot of clashing notes since the vocal melody was written assuming an entirely different chord progression.

...I just don't like it, lol.
