25 Random things about me... (Blog Entry by youdiejoe)
Yeah, I know it's been a while since someone last posted here, but I feel like sharing.
1) I was once ranked in the top 150 ExpertCTF for Quake2 players in the world by TheCLQ.com, and I did it on dial-up.
2) I am only a few credits shy of getting an AA. I don't consider myself a drop-out, but it has been a very long time since I was in school.
3) Every girl I've been with ranks me somewhere between "really awesome" and "the best they ever had" in bed.
4) I once got my car stuck in the middle of Tahoe National Forest.
5) I used to be a boy scout.
6) Both my girlfriend and I have an aversion to using firearms.
7) I sleep with a very sharp 18" black ninja sword next to my bed.
I once did security for a Taj Mahal concert. I got him and his band to sign my badge.
9) Like many other sifters I've also worked in community theater, mostly backstage work.
10) I've studied martial arts off and on, since I was 8. I have 4 years of experience in American Kempo Karate (the stuff Ed Parker taught Elvis), and 4 years of Aikido training. Aikido had a bigger impact on my life.
11) When I was in 8th grade, my Odyssey of the Mind team came in Second place in regional competition. Only our teacher's team did better than us in our category. I wore a tiger costume (an orange jumpsuit I made, and then drew stripes on).
12) For about 4 years, I worked in a place Mark Twain, and two presidents once slept.
13) My parents own a Yellow-naped Green Amazon parrot. I'll likely inherit him. He's been in the family since I was in 4th grade.
14) I have never had any urge to join the military.
15) I've walked through the red light district in Amsterdam.
16) As a waiter, I once served the author of Schindler's List.
17) I've had long hair for most of my life.
18) I enjoy dueling friends using a Shinai - a traditional bamboo training sword.
19) I'm addicted to Yahoo! Answers. It's sad, but there's so many noobs who need schooling. I got to level 6 answering a bunch of the same questions in the Wii category.
20) I used to have a pet Goose.
21) I didn't sleep at all last night.
22) I was told many times growing up I could have been a model. I would rather be known for contributing something more to the world than just my looks, though, so I never pursued it.
23) I have mastered the head-stall footbag technique.
24) I don't kick footbag as much since rolling my ankle a couple years ago.
25) When I was in 1st grade, my dad would sometimes guest host for a friend's late night community radio program. The couple times he took me along were awesome.

Weatherman w/ green tie in front of green screen
A weatherman where I lived as a kid did that with a full jumpsuit. All you could see was his head and hands.
Placed in Jail for Short Shorts
The judge should be stripped of her robes, and made to parade in her birthday suit down the main street.
Simple, tell the sheriffs deputy in the court to get the lady a jumpsuit, or a pair of sweat pants.
These kinds of abuses of power are unethical, and unlawful.
So the judge can now tell me what suit I can or cannot wear? If she was arrested on the charge of her clothes were bad, then that is a false charge.
The charge should have been contempt of court.
Hotties of Star Trek TOS
I gotta comment on this again. I do have to hand it to Star Trek; at least they didn't have every alien race wearing the same silver jumpsuit with matching boots, etc. Each individual of each alien race got their own costume/wardrome, unique to their person.
Someone Finally Stands Up to Bush
His attitude goes well with an orange jumpsuit.
Terminator Salvation -- Teaser
It's gonna be hard to top that Crane, Fire Truck, and multiple emergency vehicle robot-controlled chase.....oh and Kristanna Loken's liquid leather jumpsuit ....
McG??? Awwww hell...oh well, maybe this one will have a T&A 1000 innit.
Karl Rove's non-denial Denial
Rove belongs in a orange jumpsuit, mopping floors.
PBS breaks media blackout on story of Pentagon propaganda
Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)
I want Bush/Cheney/Rumsfield in orange jumpsuits.

Naah, taking pictures backstage is frowned upon- to say the least... starstruck techs don't last long in this business. I have had a few interactions with the stars over the years, but we tend to give 'em a wide berth.

Thats bad ass. Im jealous. You dont happen to have any cool video or pis you could share?

Thanks for the video. I am indeed a fan, and I also had the distinct pleasure of being one of the men in the orange jumpsuits at the Vancouver concert. I either attend or work on almost every major touring show that comes through here, and whenever anyone asks "What is the best show you've ever seen?", I always have an easy answer- Peter Gabriel Growing Up Live Tour 2004/2005.

Kucinich Gives Half-Wit Reporter What For.
Or maybe "world peace" could be better construed as "a generally more peaceful world." It isn't necessarily an absolute. No one is that naive.
Maybe by ending the occupation of a country that doesn't want to be occupied, the world could become more peaceful. Maybe by engaging in dialog with foreign powers, instead of stand-offs, the world could become more peaceful. Maybe by sending humanitarian forces to Darfur, instead of occupation forces to Iraq, the world could become more peaceful.
I think those who believe that the way the world is today, that this is the way the world has to be... those are the ones who are naive. Bush and the neocons have masterfully engineered the political climate that we live in.
Fear, consumption, greed, self-interest.
Don't agree? Fine, go back to your big-screen and your SUV. Listen to your iPod, talk on your iPhone. Dancing with the Stars in on later, so that should keep you busy for a little while.
Take your soma, put on your color-coded jumpsuit, and get in line.
Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - Face Down
