If there was a 'Jesus Camp' for patriotism, this would be it. Get 'em while they're young, before they can think for themselves.

the god delusion makes a very convincing argument for teaching religion to children to be abusive. In extreme cases children experience intense night horrors and anxiety from the belief of a burning hell and someone watching them constantly. Many children who experience natural thoughts of doubt in God experience severe guilt, and feelings of being unworthy and belive that they are bad people. If you've seen Jesus Camp you know what I mean.

No, it is not any different than Jesus camp, its the same shit. Brainwashing innocent children with hateful, despicable, delusional superstition. In both cases it is massive, unforgivable child abuse, and I'd argue for the death penalty for such crimes, were it not for the likelihood that these parents and grownups are themselves brainwashed zealots, mindlessly repeating the mistakes of their own brainwashers.

Yeah because Maher and Charles really were out to make a movie dedicated to effectively discrediting religion. No documentary is going to make the faithful change their mind about their beliefs. This movie was made to poke fun at them for the benefit of the non believers in the audience, just like Expelled was made so the faithful watching it could feel self-righteous.

Now if you want a good documentary illustrating the dangers of religion, watch Jesus Camp. It's fucking scary as shit, and the great part about it is that the "star" of the movie (the scary Rosie O'Donnell looking Jesus freak lady) thinks it's a great film for promoting her camp.
