Am sorry but I think you watched a bit too much of 24 and Jack Bauer, the ticking bomb scenario has never existed in all of human history. Not a single intelligence agency has come forward claiming the use of torture has produced actionable intelligence. The cell structure of modern terrorist groups like Al Q mean that each operative would know only of operations within his own cell and not others.

There are just so many basic logical and investigate flaws when it comes to this issue it defies explanation. Torture in its historical context was never used to derive information, because coercion and appeasement has always worked better then torture.

Torture was always used to break people psychologically and mentally.
