Is your IP address changing? I notice when I switch IP addresses (e.g., proxies), VS complains and forces to reload. I think one of VS administrators said this was by design for security.
No, only if my link drops. Replicate by loading a page, turning off your wifi for a few seconds, or unplugging the cable if you have a wired link, and then try an upvote.
I very rarely load a new featured video from the home page though, I normally browse the unsifted queue and if I do open a promoted one I tend to open it in a new tab.

Sorry, but this comment touched a nerve with me.
If that's truly the case, then you really need to find other more important things to be personally "embarrassed" about. Perhaps you should start thinking about things that might have more personal relevance, or at least, that you have some personal or financial accountability to be embarrassed for. Unless your last name is Abrams, I can't see how a movie trailer possibly reflects personally on you.
This looks awesome and I plan on seeing it in the theater.

"So, for IP reasons, it's not technically a prequel to the 1939 movie by MGM. This is a Disney film, and it has to follow the original Baum books, not the 1939 movie. That's why in one scene, the witch in the new movie doesn't say "my pretties." She says something like "my pretty ... one." And that's why MGM and Disney lawyers had to meet to come to an agreement on what shade of green was permitted on the skin of the bad witch in the new movie. Makes me sad as they've been very consistent at releasing a new chapter every 5-6 years for the previous 3 chapters, and this means Elder Scrolls VI is now likely to be much further out than 2016.
