Fitness ball buried in sand = MINI TRAMPOLINE!
Ahh, the elusive internet video involving flips and a fitness ball that doesn't end in a fail!
Oh Chuck, you think the state would let you open a business?
Although I disliked the video, and although their not correctly located, I enjoy the time labels on the bottom conceptually. They're a good hack for something that will inevitably be integrated in internet video (and already is in more niche environments, viz. HowCast, Hulu to a lesser extent), hopefully sooner rather than later.

I also hate when people reduce things to the simplest common denominator to make a point. Your equality is like equating cricket and baseball as the same thing because you hit a ball with a bat.
Anyway, perhaps you can find more productive use of your time rather than passing judgement on people, when you waste your time watching internet videos and commenting about them. Of course when it happens to be the thing you enjoy wasting time on, the excuses start pouring out as to why it's some how more appropriate than what this guy did. Naturally I'm doing the same thing, minus the high horse.
The bottom line is, having hobbies and periods where we're not curing cancer is not a crime and we will all enjoy these periods differently, passing judgement on who does it the most productively, to me, is a ridiculously silly thing to do. Nobody works 24/7 and what people determine is a self-accomplishment to be proud of doesn't have to meet whatever arbitrary criteria you care to place on the word.

After a lot of work, rendering, rerendering, re-re-rerendering, waiting, crashing, encoding, waiting, rendering, encoding, waiting, encoding, and waiting, It's done.
Maybe you should read the video description next time

People can do a lot of different things that can make them happy/feel pride. This equates to level grinding in an MMORPG. Sure, you spent a lot of time, sure you "accomplished" something, but you never actually left your room, never actual did anything except sit at a computer for multiple hours and clicked a mouse/typed at a keyboard.
I don't see it as something to be "proud" of.

Here's why this generalization is stupid:
You're getting your information from 5 or 6 police officers (who you seem to have been on the wrong side of already), some "friends" and an internet video site.
Let's look at some facts:
It's estimated that the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have 22,000 to 23,000 contacts with the public every day. If they had 100 newsworthy misuse of authority or "police brutality" complaints every day then those actions would still be only a minute fraction of a percent. As it is, there are 4-5 newsworthy cases every year which puts it somewhere around 0.0000007% that someone is going to be a victim of some kind of police infraction.
As for being authoritative, these are people who have to deal with violent scum on a daily basis. They wouldn't last long if they were meek and let people walk all over them. But you don't have to worry about that if you are treating the police with some respect and not being an idiot.

Only if you take hyberbole to be literal.
Tho for the most part, every cop i've come across [five or six personally] was agitated by the even slightest question to his authority. i.e. "Why am I being detained if I clearly haven't broken any law?"
The stories of my friends and videos on this site conform this.
Hence, why i have no problem with the "most cops" generalization.

1) There is one type of person which is the most dangerous you can come across. It is people who suffer from White Knight Syndrome. Most if not all cops suffer from it;
Is this based on some kind of study, or just "things I think seem likely but haven't actually confirmed"?
I know six people who are in law enforcement from local deputies to state highway patrol. One is a badge-heavy bitch who is more than willing to throw her badge around to support her ego. The rest are normal people who hate seeing others get hurt just as much as anyone.
It's very easy to characterize everyone within a profession as sharing an identical mindset when your source of information is internet videos. I thought construction workers were mostly vulgar and uneducated until I took a job building houses for a summer.
The only group I know of that really does fit a stereotype consists of people who use broad generalizations... they're all the same. ;-)

Police Officer Shoots Motorcyclist In The Back
I have a bone to pick with this video..
but surprisingly, not with the cop, but rather some of the comments.
People around the sift know me, If there's reasonable doubt or an actual potential explination, I'll generally take the police officers side.
This is not one of those times.
"Another video of a PIG unjustifiably using too much force? What a fucking surprise!"
in a nutshell, this is what I have a problem with.
This man is not 100% of the police force. He's a clearly a dumbass, and doesn't deserve his badge, but just because there are some bad apples in a group, doesn't mean you need to hate all of them.
This is getting to the point where it's almost racism. Some of them are idiots. The same can be said about any race. Some of them are gun-toting morons. The same can be said about people of every race. Some of them abuse their power. The same can be said about any race, or sometimes nationality.
You don't hate the entire white race because of people like Timothy Mcveigh, or Black people because of John Allen Muhammad, you hate the individual.
Maybe it's because I come from outside the united states, or maybe it's because my dad is a cop and I've grown up around them all my life, but most of these people are just like you or me. They do their job to the best of their extent, and almost all of them enjoy the fact that they're helping the community with what they do and would NEVER do something stupid like the people shown in most of the internet videos you see.
However.. you DON'T see the videos of those people. The ones who do their jobs well. Worked their entire career without incident, and the people like that deserve better then hatred for something they've never done.. Again, don't hate an entire group of something.. just because a few of them are idiots.
