Cop Tells Man To Slap Him Then Assaults And Arrests Him

wtfcaniuse says...

Entrapment and assault plain and simple.

He should be fired and the other officers should be reprimanded.

Edit:
The deputy has been indicted for assault but not entrapment.

"The deputy, who has been on "non-law enforcement administrative duty" since the incident, is facing up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine, according to the Houston Chronicle."

The old man's charges of "interference" were dismissed.

Palm Tree Trimming Gone Bad

newtboy says...

Much like Houston roaches. I remember dozens of times growing up turning the bathroom light on only to have them just stare at me, telepathically yelling "GET OUT OF OUR ROOM!".

My memory of palmetto bugs is entering a room, turning on a light, three of the bastards turn around, look at me like they're sizing me up, and then scuttle away.

Insects making eye contact with a human is just fundamentally wrong. Insects whose concept of humans is anything less than an ineffable cosmic force have evolved beyond their allotted station and should be purged from existence. They can take their flaming death trees with them.

They say you can't outrun the cops...

This is the longer 1 hour chase. If nothing more it has the comments from the news team as the chase plays out.

Mohmed Ahmed Abu-Shlieba, driver in 'Hellcat' muscle car, sentenced after memorable chase.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The driver who memorably led authorities in a high-speed chase behind the wheel of a stolen Dodge Challenger Hellcat muscle car has been sentenced to three years in prison.

Mohmed Ahmed Abu-Shlieba, 25, pleaded guilty to evading arrest stemming from the October 2017 chase, which started in Houston and wound up in a cow pasture two counties away in Jefferson County.

What Happens When You Try to File a Complaint Against a Cop

newtboy says...

Bob...
Tell that to the couple murdered in cold blood in Houston.
The entire force tried and tried and tried to lie about it, up to and including the police chief and police union president threatening the entire city with murder on television if they don't support the police....police who had just murdered an innocent family and boldly thoroughly lied about it to cover their murders.
Where were the good cops there? Not a single one in the entire city came forward with the truth, they banded together and used their lie as an excuse to ignore more laws and become more threatening and aggressive to the public. This continued well after the truth was uncovered, numerous lies and fabricated evidence was offered publicly, only the media investigation exposed the tapestry of lies the whole force produced together.

So...where are all these good cops you claim exist? Show me 5 cases where cops turned in criminal cops who were then convicted of serious crimes and the whistle blower remained on the force. You simply can't, they don't exist.

Do you think not all MS13 are bad? Some haven't murdered or pushed drugs, just stood with and protected their brothers who do...those are good people, right? *facepalm
Bob, all cops are bad....some worse than others but they're all in a criminal conspiracy to obstruct justice.

Beyond The Crash - The Worst News Of Your Life

I like the valet idea....or surrendering your car keys when you order drinks.
Free cabs would have people getting tipsy to get a free ride too often, I think.

Not sure how the drive through bars in Houston would handle either. (If they still exist)

Provide free cab service to anyone blowing over legal limit.

No public street parking within 5 blocks of a bar, after daylight hours. Free valet parking, although you have to blow clean to get your car back.

Security footage of airborne Tesla.

He is...the truck was dead in under 2 years, so my parents bought him a Supra.
The scary part was the tracks he would jump were at a freeway overpass (sunken freeway), and he tried to not touch the overpass with his tires. Better, the street he did this on was Hazzard st. in Houston (jumping the 610 freeway)
(No, he didn't have a confederate flag painted on the roof)

18 Teachers In Oklahoma Calling It Quits

newtboy says...

In Houston in the 70's, my parents paid vast (for then) sums of money to send me to private prep schools. They never complained about also paying taxes for public schools until they sent me to public school in 4-5th grade and saw what their money was buying....low quality daycare with no education. Sadly, like many, their reaction was not to think they needed to pay more taxes to achieve better results, it was to think they should pay less because the results were so bad.
Public school in California was slightly better, but here I went to schools in Los Altos Hills and Palo Alto, incredibly rich school districts that got millions from alumni yearly. Other nearby public schools offered much lower quality education (if any).

C-note said:

There are people who spend vast sums of money sending their children to private schools in america. To some from their perspective they feel as if they are having to pay the cost multiple times over. Once when they write the check for their child's tuition and a second time when they pay taxes on their properties. But most don't even know how much the tuition cost because their accountants handle the disbursement.
