Never encountered Mr Rogers before and have to say his very disturbing. Beyond creepy, is this a spoof trailer of a horror movie?

You're kidding, right?

I can understand when you're not a child it seems weird. That's not really the guy who plays Mr. Rogers fault though. He had to read off of a script that was vetted by child psychiatrists. Even if he improvised a word they had to go back a re-record the scene as it was written and vetted. So some of his wooden line delivery and carefully chosen wording does seem a bit odd to me now. When I was a child though, he was my neighbor and I loved watching him.

Growing up in Canada without cable, I seldom watched Mr. Rogers (we had Mr. Dressup ) so I can understand how his demeanor can seem a little... different than how most people operate on television or in person. I found the way Mr Rogers spoke a little hard to get used to, but over the last few years I've come to appreciate the way the man can speak simply and directly, right through the television screen. His words can be simultaneously piercing and comforting, yet always kind.

Without the sift I'd never have discovered the kind of impact he has had *promoting honesty and good nature over a generation of children and grownups.

These clips are among my favorites:

What caused the apes to "rise"?

Inside "Game of Thrones" (HBO)

I figured out why I don't like this series (I love it actually but one thing I just fucking hate).

*SPOILERS* The Ned Stark murder people argue that it makes the show interesting "Oooo now anyone can die isn't that different than any other show? Doesn't that raise the tension?" The answers to those questions are YES it is different than any other show...but no it doesn't raise the tension. To me if you say everyone can die that means that I'm just waiting for when. It's like before I was in a room where I know various deadly traps exist but I can't see them. With the execution now there is a nuclear weapon just above the room waiting to drop. There's no tension for me because I know I'm screwed. Also building tension for seemingly unkillable contracted TV stars is a skill, one that some people (Joss Whedon) can master and well this show didn't even try. Just fuck it, they're all able to die it's just like real life. Don't like real life, I want a TV show instead I've been given a horror movie where nothing is fun it's only inevitable. *SPOILERS*

Yeah no one agrees with me...I don't care.

No. I clicked through to the youtube video to get that info. I love horror movies, but could never get into Troma for some reason. Probably because they make terrible crap like this. :

Whats scarier? This clip? Or the fact that you knew which movie it came from?

The Greatest Scene Ever Committed to Film

Deadly Spike Traps of Vietnam

Sarzy says...

Feels like the first five minutes of a found footage horror movie in which a group of tourists are stalked in the jungle by a family of crazy Vietnamese who are obsessed with the war. Of course, all those traps would actually be in action in the rest of the film.

I think I need to make that movie.

No, This is Not a New Trailer for a Horror Movie...

Steven Spielberg presents "Oscar Bait"...I mean, "War Horse"

I'm too neurotic to enjoy comedies in theatres. Same with most horror movies. When stupid people in the crowd overreact to the movie just to make sure everyone else knows they get it... see Mike Tyson at the Charlie Sheen roast (it came on the Comedy Network video player automatically.. I have no interest in that garbage). I literally can't focus on the movie for the discomfort caused by their naked psyches.
