Meanwhile at a Democratic Socialists Convention...
I mostly agree, however when talking about political terrorism (edit :in the U.S.) there's little choice. Either ignore there are two different main camps and just call it domestic terrorism (something the right would never do with left wing extremist terrorism, and they shouldn't imo), or note it so you can better identify and target the problem.
We're all Americans, so there really is no "other guy"...but I take your point.
If you heard some of the ridiculous reasons I've heard for not voting Democrat, you would know your example is perfectly reasonable and logical by comparison. One spouted hatred for John Kerry because they preferred Hunts over Heinz ketchup so hated his wife. Seriously.
"there's got to be more to the equation than just nuttiness times membership."
Absolutely agreed.
Regarding white supremacist killings and violence, and classing right/left and tada the left is less violent is something I don't agree on.
Now I don't say that to disagree with any particular fact you present, I just reject the methodology of creating 2 categories(left/right) and lumping everyone into one or the other and drawing conclusions. I think it oversimplifies things to the point of being a problem of it's own. It makes it easy to be apathetic(clearly the problem is the 'other' guys) and even dehumanizing("they" are clearly evil or in bed with evil).
The two camps thing is way too easy to get pulled into(I'm imperfect staying out of it too), but it just ends in horrible divisive garbage like refusing to vote Democrat because they are "left" and antifa is left, so can't promote them...

LiquiGlide: Nonstick Coatings Leave Zero Waste Behind
That's true, however those interviews at the start were right that customers are already irritated by and aware of the waste from any semiliquid product (and the work involved in getting the last bit out). And once they see there's an alternative they might prefer it so much that they're willing to pay a little more.
For example, I won't buy one of those horrible glass heinz bottles even if it's cheaper. It's just not worth the aggravation.
This.

Brand Name vs. Generic
I won't buy anything but Heinz ketchup. Everything else just tastes weird and/or too vinegary. That and Shreddies. Everything else, whatever.
President's Choice up here does a great mac+cheese btw. Don't know if it's available in the States.
Also generic foods shouldn't be lumped together with generic medicines. Ive had lots of generic foods that taste like shit compared to the name brand. Salt is a no brainer and kind of a meh example. Compare Kraft Mac and Cheese with its store generic and see what you think.
With medications its about the active ingredients which are exactly the same. Generic foods and medicines are apples and oranges in my experience and opinion.

Doctor Disobeys Gun Free Zone -- Saves Lives Because of It
Yes it's a coincidence. That's the most likely outcome from trying to draw conclusions from the position of a single data point. I'm not sure if you think that the culture of a Spanish speaking Caribbean colony a thousand miles from the mainland is representative of the US as a whole, but that seems a strange position to take.
In any event, you have shifted the discussion from spree killers to killers in general. The video here is about a guy who might have stopped a spree killer (but almost certainly didn't), and did shoot a mentally ill person. You raise European comparisons, so let's do that. Let's look at Europe's recent spree killers (from wiki)
Borel, Eric, 1995, legal weapons stolen from family
Leibacher, Friedrich Heinz, 2001, legal weapons
Bogdanovič, Ljubiša, 2013, legal I believe
Izquierdo, 1990, legal I think
Radosavljević, Nikola, 2007, legal
Zavistonovičius, Leonardas, 1998, legal
Durn, Richard, 2002, legal
Harman, Ľubomír, 2010, legal
There's the top 8 by deaths (excl. the UK ones already mentioned). All using legally held weapons. There may be a pattern emerging here...
Your "refutations" are, for the most part, self-defeating, so I will allow others to do their own research and come to their own conclusions rather than addressing each one. Suffice it to say that gun-control, in the U.S. at least, starts as an anti-minority measure (not unlike the "war on drugs" and the "war on poverty") and spurs on a "dark economy" (or "underground economy"), not unlike what (eventually) felled the Soviet Union. It's not dissimilar to what's going on in Puerto Rico and, to some extent, the Bay Area (except NorCal doesn't have the feds all over them like Puerto Rico does, so violent crime is high in PR and low in Mendocino).
Is it purely a "coincidence" that Puerto Rico has a higher murder rate than almost anywhere else in the U.S, while citing as many as 50%+ of the people on "public assistance," is an epicenter on the "war on drugs" and has about the strictest gun control laws of anywhere in the U.S.?
But don't worry! Here's some good news!
"They found that a country like Luxembourg, which bans all guns has a murder rate that is 9 times higher than Germany, where there are 30,000 guns per 100,000 people. They also cited a study by the U.S.National Academy of Sciences, which studied 253 journal articles, 99 books, 43 government publications, and it failed to find one gun control initiative that worked. . . . The Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy, conceded that the results they found in their report was not what they expected to find."
I guess they didn't account for the fact that outlaws don't really care about laws! The nerve of some people...

Sandra Bullock speaks a mean German
Mkay, quick and dirty...
"Thank you, thank you.
Boy, am I nervous.
Ok. What great times we live in: I used to work as a waitress, then a cleaner, then a disco dancer, then a dog's hairdresser... who would have thought that all these jobs would one day lead me onto this stage. But it's the best proof that today's audience is tolerant enough that even people like me get a chance.
My mother always told me to be creative, which drove me crazy as a kid, but now I get it. She was ahead of her time. Thank god she infused me with this mentality before she passed away."
Then she goes on to thank all sorts of people: Dr. Burda, her family, Caroline, Christina, Gabriela, Barbara, aunt Christel, uncle Heinz.
And she told Maxi to go to sleep.
@radx whaddid she say, whadid she say?
I got the danke part.
Allen West: 78-81 Democrats are in Communist Party
You have to admit, the whole thing sounds a lot like they're revisiting the classic Heinz ketchup scene from the Manchurian candidate... which itself was a parody of the McCarthy witch hunts.
