EVIL DEAD 2 - ROTOSCOPED!

Looks like Flash, not hand drawing...
"by hand" doesn't mean "on paper". You can draw by hand in Flash using a tablet. Most Flash animation is crap but, to me, it's greatest use is as a digital tool for traditional cel animation (much of this looks like basic frame-by-frame rotoscope drawing animation AKA hand-drawn cel animation traced over live footage.)

Well, according to the creator... "It is frame by frame hand drawn vector art with a few animated tweaks here and there. About 400 hours worth of rotoscoping total. LOL"

Wow, thats so bizzare and really quite insulting. Copyright laws are getting insane. (as if they weren't before, but I didn't think they could get worse.) It seems absolutely ridiculous to me that they wouldn't allow you to bring a Sketchbook to an Art Gallery

I can walk into any art gallery this very minute, take a picture of any of the many works of art walk out and print out pretty reasonable copies of the work. I'm clearly not committing theft since the original stays where it is.
nothing against your argument but I just want to say that there are a lot art galleries who do not allow people to take any sort of picture. Including hand draw copies. I was in the Philadelphia museum of art and they wouldn't let me carry in a sketch book to this one exhibit because of potential "copyright infringement", stupidest thing ever I couldn't sketch my own interpretation of art. haha I really don't know what to make of such a situation...

Africa Open For Business - As you never seen it before....
Downvoted for farhad telling all of us what we believe about Africa.
Before watching this, I thought all black people everywhere were lazy and that there was absolutely no business anywhere in Africa! Thanks for setting me straight!
Clearly, these are NOT the people we're talking about when we talk about African poverty.
The ratio of poor communities to communities like this has got to be ridiculous.
Not to mention the fact that this video comes across like a bad business seminar.
Getting Africa to hand-draw all of our animated specials ain't the solution.
IBM: Powers Of Ten (amazing 9 minute science video)
I emailed the Sift to check if I could post this, but got no reply
Actually, you did get a reply, benjee. James mailed you and CC'd me, so I don't know why you wouldn't have gotten it. Odd. : ?
In any case, I don't think it's bad Siftiquette to repost a dead->discarded post. If the original submitter's video has died and the 48 hour window has elapsed, I say feel free to repost it, however, if still within the 48 hour dead window, it'd be friendly (though not required) to profile comment the original submitter the new link.
I love this video. Done in 1977? Anyone know how it was accomplished? Just hand drawings maybe?
Wii - Hand Drawn Revolution
This video was an entry for a contest to win a Wii. The total time spent was close to 80 hours between drawing and editing on the computer.
From the animator:
"I made this animation over the past month showing different uses for video game characters using the Wiimote. 700 pages is a lot to hand draw. After Effects, Maya, Flash and more were all used to make this happen. Considering I've never done hand animation before I'm quite pleased with the results."
