In Russia they stack their crashed rally cars
So five co-drivers/navigators all mis-read this turn on during the walk-through? Or did road conditions change (wetter/gravel dumped on road before curve/someone moved a braking check point marker?)
Michelin Introduce Puncture Proof Airless Tire
Um? What about driving through water? Snow? Loose gravel? I have to imagine that they are going to pick up and potentially throw loose material in odd ways. I am all for the airless tires but I am pretty sure they haven't engineered a way to avoid the need for sidewalls.

My understanding was they are highly engineered gravel beds that get progressively softer. You don't want it to give maximum resistance at first or it would be like hitting a wall. Of course, that's just the design....how they get built is another thing entirely.
He made it way farther than I expected. I thought he would go <1/3 of the way...maybe it was a heavy load keeping momentum up.
Ah, yes. I do recall there was a big "gravel airbag" at the end of those usually. This guy's truck didn't seem to reach that though, just looked like it was rolling backward. Curious.

Runaway Semi Truck Uses Runaway Truck Ramp
Thanks for the promote
Those ramps are supposed to be designed with loose rocks in specific sizes. I've seen a few instances where they had to crane the trucks out, they were buried to the axles. It's not just the upward ramp, but the gravel that stops and holds the trucks.
I've always imagined trucks using those things, but have never seen it before. *promote
I'm still left wondering what that truck driver did to stop. If his brakes were completely non-functioning, he could potentially have just started rolling backwards back down to the freeway.
I guess the only thing he could do in such a case is turn so it rolls sideways.
:-?
The Ice Strikes Back
I've slipped and fallen on iced gravel just like this - several times. It's when you don't see it coming that you slip and fall.
How do you slip on loose gravel like it was smooth ice without moving a single rock? (that I can see at least)
I'm suspicious this is a fake.
The story, they took the garage door opener out of the car and left it in the garage, also makes no sense. Why would someone ever do that?
Then, why would they publicly share the video of themselves falling? And why is there an ADT logo on the video?
Highly suspicious.
The Ice Strikes Back
If the ice is just thick enough it will keep the gravel in place. Looks like her foot slipped before she even had her full weight on it. It also looked like driver slipped a bit too.
Opener: Someone could do that easily depending on the circumstances. Just make up a logical scenario on your own. (i'm not going to do the work for you.)
Some people have a sense of humor. Maybe they just shared it with someone and they shared it with someone and so on.
Good question about the ADT logo. Wouldn't doubt they (ADT) picked up the video and added it themselves. Doesn't affect me one way or the other.
It can be as suspicious as you can make it. But why?
If it's everything you say, so what?

Bikes VS Birds
It's an absolute mystery to me, how the guy in front STAYS on his bike, although he has two friggin' crows stuck in him and another biker crashing into his rear at 168mph all while driving on gravel...

Thanks.
Nothing says responsible boating like skittering at full speed over a populated gravel bar.

Braking. Best done sideways.

Moose Triplets Near ... Moosomin?
No problems at all. Usually just a rural thing, if there are many gravel roads.
That sucks. What about in major cities?
Moose Triplets Near ... Moosomin?
Windshield is cracked.
From what I have heard from country drivers, you pretty much can't get any insurance coverage for your windshield because of all the gravel roads, so you pretty much drive with it until it is an actual hazard.
Broken comes later.

Permeable Concrete? It's like magic!
Roads aren't designed like this in most places because it's better to keep the water out; one wintertime freeze, and that entire parking lot turns into gravel.
