It is pretty graphical, but I guess -- movies can be worse. I am considering showing this to my gamer kid to get his opinion on the content.

I've been struggling to find the right adjective to use to describe your story, but all I can say is thank you for telling it. It's personal accounts like this that really bring home the effects of war, and this is what happened to the victors!

I admit I don't read much non-fiction, but I hold a very special place in my heart and my life for Spike Milligan's war diaries which, along with the Maus graphic novels, taught me more about the reality of war than I ever wanted to know. Like your story they are so relatable and so full of banality and horror side-by-side that my disgust for the instigators makes it painful to try to see things from their point of view.

I try to eliminate unconscious bias where I spot it, but here I just can't. Unfortunately this disgust also stops me from wanting to learn more.

I love this kind of stuff. It's amazing that GPUs are the secret to good computer vision. Graphics cards are not only good at generating 3d worlds, but taking the real 3d world and converting it back to something virtual Fantastic.

Sci-fi channel makes these constantly....or at least airs them. They're usually a few rungs below the likes of Sharknado with 1990 videotoaster graphics and pure ripoff plots.

I supported the Macs in offices and graphics departments for about 15 years and was a big advocate. Apple used to have a commercial where they compared the stacks of manuals you needed to run a PC, with the small booklet that came with the Mac.

Now every update to iTunes makes me cringe, the GUI is like a cockpit and I feel like I need a stack of manuals to do what used to be simple.

so, one thought; the original Wii was success without having the highest graphics, but offering great games and an original experience.

And---while I look forward to great engines (though water and skin and hair are still so hard to get right)--the story and the mechanics are more important to me...

This is a really good example of showing what video game graphics are really good at (static scenes with hard materials) and what they're not so good at but getting better (natural organic materials, humans with complex animations).

That said, as impressive as it is, we are still a long way off "photo realism".

I did intentionally avoid posting the much more graphic videos of the same attack, but it's important news, so exempt (imo).

What was amazing was the outdated polygon graphics, MIDI music, etc. that still scared us. I remember having a hard time in the attic. Its controls and camera views drove me crazy! Haha. I never actually got far too in the full game. Did you finish it?
