Looks like a photo shoot for something - after the images are photoshopped, they could create some dark, gothic images... As film, it has DORK written all over it, but I expect the photos could get kind of funky...

I have to add I'm in complete agreement with alien concept, I feel the same way about all this Valentines Stuff. In fact, Halloween is the same; Why only celebrate it once a year, it should be everyday! is a shame how people wear black nail polish only for one night a year LOL. Anyway, Valentines Day should be everyday Why not show your love everyday with yummy chocolates or dead roses? (of course this is my gothic way.)

I've heard of it, but haven't tried it, thanks for the recommendation. The Gothic nature of Revelation Space always reminded me a bit of Dan Simmons books.

Do you know Neal Ashers "Polity" series? You might like it. Somewhat more blood and gore, but a well thought out universe and entertaining stories.

I can never, ever remember the best ones when quizzed like this. Same goes for best movies etc.

Catch 22 : I just wanted to say that for all the praise that this book gets, I couldn't get through it. He made his points, set up his things, and then seemed to repeat the same damn jokes/observations over and over and over again to the point where I just stopped reading it... sorry, but it bored me. Good start, lost me soon after.

Kronos: Yes, Michael Chabon is the bomb - I read Gentleman of the Road and loved it but haven't been able to source The Amazing Adventures ... at my local library. I may have to [gasp] buy it.
