Most leftists are (politically and intelectually speaking) a bunch of lemming-sheep. When they encounter ideas that oppose thier own, they do not try to mentally adjust to them. They seek to repress them and criminalize free speech that differs from theirs.

Now - this cuts both ways. The right wing is no haven of fairness either. However, to claim the political left is just so gosh-darn nice/tolerant/forgiving is absolute bunk. The political left contains some of the most intolerant, least forgiving, cruellest, bunch of brain-dead robots on the planet. To claim otherwise is to ignore facts and reality.

But on topic - yeah Perry blew it big time and diamonds to dollars he is toast. He just doesn't do well in public speaking. Last night's winner? Newt Gingrich. He kicked @$$.

I have a difficult time counting this album as within the Pink Floyd discography. Sure, it's the music of Nick, Dave, and Roger, but this sounds more like the aftershocks of The Wall and the fallout within the band that it precipitated.

Just as Rick and David played on Syd Barrett's solo album, "Barrett," I see this as Nick and David playing on Roger's solo album, "The Final Cut."

And while I love Pink Floyd (from Piper, to Saucerful, to Atom Heart Mother -- maybe parts of Umma Gumma -- to Meddle, to Animals, to Dark Side, to the Wall, et. al.), I have little tolerance for any of the band's solo material, including Rogers', in which I count this particular music.

I'd like to say to Roger, someday, "For gosh sakes, man, wasn't the double-album, gigantic stage show, and feature film enough to get the message across? You didn't have to try to make a sequel out of it, did you?"

Wow! I had no idea this existed. Great find, and super cool. The video really opens up the atmospheric music and personal lyrics of this material, which is otherwise some of Floyd's least accessible. The "Not Now John" segment was actually on rotation as a single video on Mtv at the time--I remember seeing it in high school. I suppose this entire short film was also shown there at least once around that time too.
BTW, Rick Wright doesn't play on this album at all--Waters fired him during the making of The Wall and did not invite him back for The Final Cut (though Wright did play at the Wall concerts). Sadly, his name should probably be removed from the tags, just as the man has now been removed from our lives. RIP. :-(

Actually, my belief that gaming in general is a waste of time is an opinion. That you don't agree with that is your opinion. I gave my reasons, mainly being my own obsession with games and spending a good deal of my life playing them. Most of the gamers I have ever known also spend most of their life playing video games. The only gamers I know that don't are people like fuantum who are married and their wives won't tolerate it. Gaming addiction is a real problem..a huge problem..people die from it, relationships break down from it..I have a sister who hasn't left her room since world of warcraft came out. A gamers life shouldn't be glorified..it's actually rather pathetic. Just because you can simulate having other people around with multiplayer doesn't make it any better. Yes, gaming has had some cultural impact, but that doesn't prove anything to me. I think 99 percent of what culture produces is a gigantic waste of time..bread and circuses if you will. Matters of significance are never really spoken about because we are all too busy getting our entertainment fix.
