Because of the immense length of the description. There's always gonna be at least one word in your search that matches what's in the description. It comes up in many of my searches as well.

Wow that API is pretty slick. With like 20 seconds of regex text editting I was able to grab the last 100 pages accessed. I could even grep for /search/ or whatever.

You are not taking into consideration many other factors. It is not only about probability and ability. For example, during the first 4 years of life, the brain of a child is very different from the brain of an adult or that of a 7 year old kid. One of the differences for example is the fact that a different part of the brain is used by 1-4 year olds when it comes to learning the basics of language. This is why kids are capable of learning language so quickly when compared to adults.

Another fundamental change that occurs during the first 4 years of life ( which I read that apparently is the period where human beings change the most, and at the fastest rate, than any other period in life, including adolescence) is the development of 'Theory of mind' this includes self awareness, a sense of self, the ability to realize your perception is not the same as the perception of other beings, etc. Many of these things depend greatly on factors that this girl has not learned (like language) or that probably did not experience enough during her first years of life such as her mother taking good care of her basic needs, so that her cognitive needs could flourish.

I agree with you that experts are probably assuming a lot of things, because there really isn't a lot of research on feral children since the cases are so rare, but you are making assumptions too:

And this is based on what? Are you completely sure that the plasticity of the brain is exactly the same between an individual who had a normal development, and someone who was denied so much during an extremely important period in her life? Do you really have no doubt that the neurological connections are exactly in the same condition for this girl as that of another kid of her age? What is this 'no doubt' based on?

Sniper. Dude. You don't think that decades of neurological research qualify scientists to predict brain development? And when I say predict, I mean that they are pretty gosh darn sure about this. They aren't just guessing based on probablility that Dani will never be "normal". They KNOW that the brain develops language and social skills in certain parts by a certain time. People who miss the window of opportunity can't get it back. Excluding divine intervention, it's not a matter for debate. Her brain just isn't capable of traveling backward in time and developing all over again.
