If the Beasty Boys watched Battlestar Galactica: Sabotage
Very similar to one I posted a little over a day or so ago, not sure if it would be considered a dupe:

New "Lost" opening title leaked to the internet
I'm surprised at how much of what they've explained so far does "make sense," in that it's being explained. Yes, there's a strong element of the supernatural or whatever, but that was kind of a given from the very first episode. It's not looking like they're just making it up as they go along (Ron Moore/Galactica-style), which is kind of what I had feared.
Homeworld 2 - The Inspiration for Battle Star Galactica?

Ok, let's re-install this neat game to see how fluid it is on my quad core + geforce 8600
I may have to as well.
But uh.. A quad core and that vintage gpu? Time for a major upgrade, son.
Aliens vs Predator - Killmoves Trailer
I can't even list my expectations and hopes for this title.
After the inglorious fuckup that was Rogue Warrior pretty much the whole reputation of Rebellion as a studio rests on the success of this game;
also, there is rumor (which makes sense) that the fate of Gearbox's Aliens: Colonial Marines which is supposedly finally due this year and is also published by SEGA will be sealed by the results of AvP; and I can't even begin to describe how much it would suck if a Gearbox project which was penned by Battlestar Galactica writers was canceled.
At least so far the promotional stuff looks promising. Here's hoping the end result won't disappoint.

Yeah, Event Horizon does the sci fi horror damn well. The problem with the way sunshine does it, is that it tries to be something different and then sorta falls back on blood and gore. That's sorta my main gripe with battlestar galactica, it tried really hard to be a story about people with realistic sci-fi, and then suddenly veers off and becomes something completely different.
Event Horizon is a sci-fi horror flick and it knows it. The same way Lost is supernatural, where it doesn't feel bad the way it does in BSG.
Event Horizon's idea of hell reminds me a lot of Warhammer 40k, with living ships and chaos and so on.
In reply to this comment by Drax:
Event Horizon is pure badace. I saw it originally on a humongous screen with a bass system so loud the seats shook when the asteroid at the beginning passes in front of the camera.
The spinning shot of Daylight Station actually gave me a sense of vertigo.. then the scary parts eventually came.
Then I got to go home to my little cabin like home in an area that had no street lights, and my roommate was out of town.
Very few movies get under my skin, that one did.. big time. I cry a little inside whenever I hear a fellow geek bash that movie.
...oh and I love the little connections to Hellraiser.
"Hell is but a word.. the truth is much... much worse."

I liked this movie apart from the last part, where it goes all slasher/horror, which is at odds with the rest of it, I think.
In related news, Event Horizon is the most awesomest spacy scifi slasher horror movie ever made! (Apart from alien.)

I don't think debt collector is a very good occupation during an "end of the world" scenario.
Good thinking. Oh wait, the US goverment already thought of that.

The new stargate on hulu.com (1sttube Talk Post)
SGU is still on probation in the NetRunner household. I'm still waiting for them to come up with a theme other than survival. For example, give us some antagonists, or at least some compelling potential benefit from discovering the ship.
I also liked the initial offering of V. I'm curious how many episodes it will take before the teabaggers start carrying reptilian Obama signs.
I've also been watching FlashForward. I loved the novel, and the series is definitely taking a very different direction than the novel (the Flashforward in the novel was a freak accident, not part of a shadowy plot).
I'm looking forward to the Prisoner remake that's coming in a couple weeks.
As much as I like all this new/remake Scifi, I do find myself craving a nice, predictable, upbeat Star Trek series. Everyone wants to be the new Battlestar Galactica, but no one seems to be going for that simple morality play format that Roddenberry pioneered.
I'm getting sick of antiheroes in my sci-fi.
