I still have to see this, I loved the devils rejects. Best use of freebird I've seen in a film....

The song isn't Thriller, it's actually an NSYNC song called Freebird.

I knew going in that it was based on the bedtine story he told his daughters. Thus it had a soft spot in my heart just for the "aw!" factor. ANd I thought the awakening an trauma-facing of the (former) doctor was a lovely climax of the film. Having children myself I could really identify with his torturous past - the idea of having my family die and being that helpless is horrible... that he gets to "redeem" himself by helping ot save the Lady was just sweet. I liked "The Village" too.

I thought it was one of those so bad it was good kind of movies. The last MNS movie I liked was The 6th Sense.

The Rob Zombie movie was just plain boring. How is it possible for such a violent film to be boring. The slow-mo 'Freebird' finale were the longest 7 minutes of my life. He just seems to care way too much about his poorly conceived characters. How does such an unremarkable artist succeed in two separate fields. It just ain't fair.

In fact, I'd like to take this opportunity to address those of you who like to shout "I need more cowbell!" every time you are at a rock show, in a bar, or in a living room and you hear or see a cowbell. You make the "Freebird!" guy look like a lot of fun.

No, the best appearance of "Freebird" in a film is in Cameron Crowe's "Elizabethtown". This one didn't even have a paper bird hung from the ceiling setting fire to an entire hotel ballroom.
