Krupo (Member Profile)
*was* a folk singer from the city.
I know it was an insensitive and uninformed troll-like comment, sorry, from now on I'll find another way to vent my pent up hatred for all things country music.
In reply to this comment by Krupo:
She's a folk singer from the city.
In reply to this comment by Peroxide:
I'd rather listen to coyotes singing than country music...
Another Great Poem by Enoch
i was worried about this one.
while my cadence has a charles brukowski rhythm,my themes tend to break into parts.
julie has a knack for pulling images out of my words better than me.
the song is by rockettothesky.
a norwegian folk singer.
i actually was daydreaming playing this song and started writing.
thats what came out..no revisions.
though it seems my spelling is something to be desired.
all in all i am very pleased at julies work.
poor thing, she fretted over this for over a week.
i think she nailed it though.
not too sure about putting my back tattoo picture in there.
i understand her reasons,but i find it a bit self-serving.
thanks for posting this rasch,
i always have mixed feelings when i see my work displayed.
one of elation and of embarrassment.
it is an...odd..sensation.
i hope you all enjoy it though.it was a good collaboration.
TED: Samantha Power: Shaking hands with the devil
Alas she is married to Cass Sunstein, another smarty, with a name like that I think he'd be an excellent folk singer. So is she now getting back into the Obama team after that Hilary "monster" Clinton remark?

Hyubris - Cançao de Embalar @ Portugal No Coração RTP1
They are not playing live, it's playback, so I wouldn't really trust the voice of the girl until I heard her singing live.
Also this song is not theirs, it's a cover of a song from Portugal's most famous folk singer who became one of the biggest symbols of the anti-fascist fight and the revolution that overthrew the dictatorship in Portugal in 1974.

For ANZAC Day, "The Band Played Waltzing Matilda"
Written and performed by Eric Bogle, a fine folk singer who emigrated to Australia from Scotland when he was 25.
Wilco - Another Man's Done Gone
"Mermaid Avenue is a 1998 album of previously unheard lyrics written by American folk singer Woody Guthrie, put to music written and performed by British singer Billy Bragg and the American band Wilco. Mermaid Avenue is the street in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York on which Guthrie lived after being discharged from the Army."

Louis and the Nazis (BBC Documentary Film, 79mins)
The irony of a bunch of supposedly "tough guys" rocking out to a couple of little pre pubescent folk singers (@27:00) is almost too much to handle...
It´s O.K. when you are a German
Really nice MTV ad. It even aired in Germany itself btw. But i don´t think the viewers in GB really get all the allusions it supported: Everyone knows Bratwurst, but i guess only Germans can figure out what´s about that VW burning rubber ;-)
...and just in case you´re wondering: the song is performed by a famous german folk singer named Heino ;-)
