Regarding Tags and Tagging (Howto Talk Post)

Zifnab says...

As I understand it if you have Fred Flintstone in your title it is still a good idea to put "Fred Flintstone" in the tags. This would let someone click on "Fred Flintstone" in your tags and then see all the other videos with that tag rather than doing a search.

I don't have a problem with a funny tag as long as it doesn't replace a useful one. A tag like "you, have, to, see, this, to, believe, it" should not be used as it's pretty much useless.

Turkish Star Wars Training Montage

fissionchips says...

I forgot to mention that I visited the area in Turkey where this was filmed. Capadocia is a city that was carved into these stone hills. No one lives in the caves any more for safety reasons, save for the tourists who stay in gimmicky hotels to get the Flintstones experience.

Slip n slide of fire

8358 says...

This song was on the Flintstones in the 60s. In a dream, Fred imagined that Pebbles and Bam-Bam were infant musical prodigies who became world-famous singing that very song. Let The Sunshine In. Fred was their manager or some other ridiculous crud.

This was during a very dismal period in American TV where shows began to realize that they could make a lot of money with a hit single, especially if the singers had hair like the BEATLES.

Goofy: jonesin' for a smoke

Sketch says...

Not bad for a time even before the Flintstones were advertising cigarettes, and doctors advocated smoking.

Be careful with that damn Nicorette gum. My dad started chewing that crap, except instead of using it properly he chews it like it were bubble gum, one after the other all day, and now he's pretty much more hooked on the crap than he was before his heart attack. Plus he leaves his nasty pre-chewed gum lying around, which the dog gets into, and we think she's addicted to it now too.

Bill Hicks on dinosaurs

theo47 says...

There's a creationism "museum" being built not that far away from me in Kentucky that'll have humans side by side with dinosaurs - maybe riding one, as far as I know.

To look at all this another way, you could say creationists think The Flintstones is a documentary.
