Pastor Outs Gay Teens in Church-Watch Quick before Copyright

netean says...

Leviticus. what a great guy. But why don't god botherers heed ALL of his advice, not just the being gay bit.
Off the top of my head:
Where are the animal sacrifices that all God botherers must make to satisfy god
men shouldn't go to church when "unclean"
nor women during their period

men mustn't cut their beards or the sides of their hair

and my favourite:

Christmas trees are expressly forbidden inside a house (at christmas).

Still I'm sure the guy in this video adheres to all of those and would never insult god with, what is clearly a satanic object of a Fraser Fir at Christmas time.

Seriously. if you want to be a bible thumper, stop peddling this evil, nasty, hateful, self=loathing shit. Market church and god bothering for what it really can be good for:

Frienshdip, a sense of community, an identity, a code of conduct and ethics, a sense of purpose, a structure for life, or a path/code to follow for life.

stop peddling "everlasting life" (who the fuck wants to live forever - how boring would that be!), stop peddling sin and self-hate, and all that other shit.

People like this just make me sick and, if there was ever something good to come from religion, it's twats like this that hide it under their veil of control, deceit and passive hatred.

Religious Free Speech - Dead in England

Its a great way to detect scams on the internet-Syntax and grammar is the best way to detect a Nigerian scam-
Pat Condell needs to don a cape and mask and play advocate fir all he similar cases in England-Civil Disobedience should get creative to combat such bullshit-

Nothing more fun than a religious debate; the Muslim wench who brought the charges forward should be made to suffer for her imaginary sand-god, court attendees aught disrupt the proceedings-The barristers should be boycotted who took the case, the accused should refuse to go to court, or pay any fines assessed-No other reasonable way to forgo similar travesties of a crippled and corrupt legal system-

The Dawkins Effect is backfiring, and it's the gullible and reactionary British atheists to blame in large part wouldn't ya say??? For all their banter, they forget what is more important than god/no god......basic human rights-

G20 Pittsburgh Protests - Students Trapped and Attacked

LostTurntable says...

Hundreds of assholes poured into the streets to pick fights, break shit and overall just be dicks. They trashed my city and caused thousands of dollars of damage, not to mention endangered he lives of countless others. You see those assholes hurl a dumpster down that hill? That's assault with a deadly weapon. They could have killed someone. There were other protests that DIDN'T dissolve into riots that had a very strong police presence. I wonder why. But no one is watching those videos because it doesn't fir into their bullshit view of "OMG COPS ARE EVIL."

Also everyone seems to be forgetting that these protests were ILLEGAL. They didn't stick to where they were supposed to, they weren't organized and the majority of people there (or at least a vocal minority) were intent on blocking traffic and causing as much grief to the city as possible.

As far as those idiots on the stairs go who think they were "severely burned," well, they're idiots too. What were they thinking? "Hey, lets go watch a riot! Oh no! My eyes are burning from the gas!" No pity.

The girl at the end of the video, the cops were ordering her to move, her friend was pulling her away from them, yet she decided that her vapid little voice needed to be heard for some reason.

Finally, to the person who posted this video and said "When the government takes your 1st Amendment rights, there's always the 2nd Amendment to fall back on. This is when watering the tree of liberty is necessary," you all realize he's advocating the murder of government officials right? Timothy McVeigh fans?

Do you believe in a God? (User Poll by gwiz665)

westy says...

Not a very good question , or choice of answers.

"God" fir a start is a ridiculously non descript word , for example Christian god of the bible over , some intelligent being or omnipresent thing creating everything are so vastly different.

There is No evidence ether way whether or not a "GOD" something that created everything and has omnipresence over it exists.

The intellectuality ohnist part of me would want to click , "I don't know ethor way", however for all descritoins of gods that currently exsist in all religions im aware of I would say a definite no. Allso the question dose not accommodate people who may believe in multiple gods ,

What are you reading/What would you recommend? (Blog Entry by EndAll)

Ornthoron says...

I'm currently reading "The Fall of the Roman Empire" by Peter Heather, recommended to me by my brother / fellow sifter Almanildo. It proposes a new solution to the mystery of the death of the Roman Empire, different from the prevailing notion of a decadent elite gone soft. Heather writes very engaging for a historian, and the book is propped full of exciting anecdotes from the time period in question.

There are a lot of books I would like to recommend, but I've noticed that my reading tastes are very similar to a lot of other sifters (Who would have thought?), so they will probably get recommended anyway. So as not to clutter this comment with too much info, I will only recommend two norwegian books, because I think most sifters haven't heard of them. If you are going to read only one book by a norwegian author, read this one:

"Mengele Zoo" by Gert Nygårdshaug. This book takes on heavy subjects like environmentalism, north-south conflict, imperialism and terrorism, but in an extremely page-turning and action-packed way. And you can not help but fall in love with the main protagonist from the moment you meet him. When you are finished reading it, you will be unsure whether you have become a better or worse human being for doing so.

"Out Stealing Horses" by Per Petterson has a radically different mood. It is a mellow story about a father/son-relationship, love and betrayal. It starts out as almost a non-story, but gradually reveals layer upon layer of intrigue. Petterson has often been compared to another great norwegian author, Knut Hamsun, for the way he uses the norwegian landscape to describe the psychology of his characters, in this case the heavy fir forests on the Norway-Sweden border. It also has the best closing sentence I have ever read in a book.

Oh, and anything by Kurt Vonnegut jr.

Spy camera shows PC Repair scams and privacy violations

Its just uneducated people, its not exactly indigenous to know that u have sensitive data on your laptop in the same way that u probably have sensative data around u room , U would not let random people come and clean u house without checking them out firs.

PC would and large company's that do this should get huge fines the guy checking bank details should be sorted out.

I just think it mental that if you have a device that you use daily for very important things that you wouldn't understand its basic operation. Evan the most retarded of car users should know how to change a car tire , refill it with fule , lock the dores, check oil. the basic functoins of a laptop are as simple if not more simple.
