Ivermectin Is Now OK To Treat COVID

We Completely Underestimate How Bad Things Are Going To Get

newtboy says...

The problem is there is nothing we can do to save ourselves if we don’t prevent the current trends in climate change.

Becoming Morlocks, living underground and becoming C.H.U.D.S., is not a real option for the species. Living above ground with the hydrogen sulfide clouds after ocean death is not an option. Flying away to live in fragile bubbles on the moon or mars is not a real option.

If we don’t stop climate change before natural feedback loops overpower our ability to intervene (I think we are past that point today) we will not survive as a species or civilization, and the event will eventually likely rival the Permian extinction event for the title of worst extinction in planetary history.

HugeJerk said:

At some point, probably sooner than we expect, there will be a shift in what the researchers are talking about... a swap from what we need to do to prevent climate change to what we need to do to save ourselves from the results. The response will be the same, arguments against doing anything because of the cost.

Does the Constitution Ban Trump from Running Again?

newtboy says...

While it may be true states like California could probably initially bar him from the ballot, his campaign would sue and say his involvement in an insurrection must be established in court for it to stand, in my non lawyerly opinion.
It’s a certainty that would be his position…and he would delay any court case to establish it as long as possible with his complicit “judges” helping, and using the case as a fundraising event.
This is why the latest indictment going forward to trial in May at the latest is imperative, his eligibility needs to be established asap, not after or during the election. I wish the trial would start in October this year, 75 days after indictment, but it’s like that time I went to the lake to bone my girlfriend but the mosquitoes were going crazy and she said “there is no way”.

BLM Leaders PAID Millions to Family Friends from donations

newtboy says...

Really bob?
With the constant grift from your hero, paying his family $60000 per minute to introduce each other at his events, using $50 million of campaign donations for his personal legal troubles already, and he’s only had one trial so far and isn’t paying his lawyers!?! How do you even do that? EDIT: OK, we now know a bit of how, he paid $340k for Giuliani to pay off his debt to the company holding all his data/documents…and then Giuliani admitted to the defamation and liability and that he had no evidence of his public claims, so the data became moot! 😂

With Jared getting $2 BILLION for selling top secret intelligence information to the Saudis so they could target and murder any opposition?
With all the Trumps permanently barred from charity work because they simply stole donations from the charities they ran using them like personal piggy banks?
You really want to start pointing fingers about who made how much dirty money and how? 😂
Even if the accusations aren’t just more admissions (and I know for certain they are), do you really think the creators of BLM getting paid to run it is some gotcha!?! 😂
Sucker.

Mitch McConnell Freezes During Press Conference

newtboy says...

Perhaps, something about MAGA sure seems to cause more brain damage than a full blown meth addiction in once intelligent people, but even with functioning brains 80 year olds are not as in touch with current events, morals, or norms, nor do they have skin in the game.

It’s easy to vote for programs or projects that won’t have to be paid for, or whose deleterious effects won’t be felt until long after their death….like denying climate change. They can gamble recklessly with the future to see monetary benefits today because they won’t be here when their gamble fails disastrously in 20 years to pay the piper themselves.
I think people making the rules and laws should be expected to live under them for a minimum of 20 years, maybe more, making the age cutoff for election below 60. Nobody is getting smarter or more up to date and in tune with current events and new advanced methods of problem solving after 60.
Once upon a time experience was a valuable feature in a politician, but today the best you could say is they have lots of experience at failure and partisan gridlock no matter which party they’re in. 2 terms is enough for presidents, it should be plenty for senators, representatives, and Supreme Court justices. Professional politicians are an anathema to America, as is a political ruling class or politicians getting rich while in office, and we now have all 3 as the norm.

Most Democrats' 80 is like the GOPers' 50 though. Most GOPers' brains already turned to mush for being lemmings, long unused to independent, rational thinkings, nor anything nearing care & compassionate emotions for the vast 99.5%.

Cocaine Found In West Wing

moonsammy says...

I'm not going to trust some random site you linked that I've never heard of before, so I researched the issue myself. From what I can tell, Hunter was there on Tuesday for July 4th celebrations, and the Secret Service had found cocaine in a heavily-trafficked area of the West Wing on Sunday the 2nd. The president was out of town late Friday until Tuesday. So cocaine was found two days before Joe and Hunter were on site, in a part of the building which regularly hosts tour groups (particularly on weekends), and through which staff frequently transits. I doubt Hunter can time-travel (or has time-traveling cocaine), and if he does then you and I are waaaaay out of our league here - this is superhero business. If I've the basic facts incorrect please do let me know, I didn't spend more than 10 minutes reading up on this.

But, for the sake of argument: let's say the current president's adult son visited during a publicized, well-attended event, and accidentally left some illegal narcotics in a restroom. What would that actually imply, as a worst-case scenario, about Joe Biden? So far as I can tell, it shows he's willing to continue having a relationship with his adult child in spite of that child's known (and perhaps continued) character / behavior flaws. The teachings of Jesus make it clear that we should treat those around us with love, even the very flawed. None of what the news is describing, even as a worst-case, feels like a problem in any way - there are no implications pertaining to public policy, foreign policy, or nepotism. Perhaps there should be legal consequences for Hunter (or whoever left the cocaine there), but it hardly reflects on Joe.

You only heard about this cocaine because it plays into an existing, nonsensical narrative currently being pushed by right-wing media bullshitters. Namely, Joe's son Hunter has had drug problems, and some weird business entanglements, and that all somehow implies Joe is dirty. I'm extremely concerned about official corruption, so I absolutely would want to know if any were occurring - but the evidence pertaining to Hunter/Joe having any shady backroom dealings together is extremely thin on the ground.

Bob, have you given anywhere near this level of scrutiny or mental time to the question of why Donald's son-in-law received $2,000,000,000 from the Saudis? I feel that's actually worth knowing, particularly given that Jared very clearly DID have the former President's ear on policy matters, and WAS regularly present in the White House outside of big public events. But I've a hunch you care less about getting to the bottom of that obvious massive corruption, than the identity of the scoundrel who sullied the immaculate Administrative Palace with (I'm guessing) petty misdemeanor quantities of magic nose dust.

Secret Service Confirms Cocaine Was Found In West Wing Phone Cubby Hours After Hunter Biden Visit.

Go hide from reality, as you normally do.

Even a socialist see that the Trump indictment is BS

newtboy says...

7 more federal charges related to the theft and refusal to return top secret classified secret documents, some of which have yet to be turned over like the report on Iranian nuclear programs he talked about having on tape in 2021. 😂

Make that 38 federal charges. 😂 😂 😂

😂 On tape-Trump in summer 21 when showing writers and aids (none with security clearance) classified material- "As president, I could have declassified, but now I can't,"

Also today in the indictment were some photos of the boxes of top secret classified documents kept on a stage in a ballroom at Maralago WHILE THE BALLROOM WAS STILL BEING RENTED OUT FOR EVENTS, so 100% open and accessible to the public.

More to come. 😂

Ukraine losing 500 troops daily in Bakhmut fight

newtboy says...

Yes, yes you have been proven wrong again. You might reconsider taking the word of the Russian military as a given. They only lie.

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/liveblog/2023/5/18/russia-ukraine-live-news-overnight-attacks-rock-kyiv-odesa

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-65662563

What happened was ONE line in the city advanced for the Russians about 500 yards, while multiple, nearly all others retreated the same distance or more, some by kilometers. Russians have abandoned the outskirts, concentrating their forces in the rubble of the city, but are nearly completely surrounded by the Ukrainian army, and Ukrainians still hold the 15% they’ve held for weeks. Wagner just declared that part unimportant and declared they had the city, without actually taking more of the city. You bought it, like you always buy anti democracy propaganda…Every. Single. Time.

Yes, you have been proven wrong again. It clearly triggered you, enough to try the idiotic ploy of just repeating Russian propaganda as fact. 😂
Everything from you in this thread, and the video itself, are direct regurgitation of pure Russian propaganda.

Such a silly boy. You have again failed current events class.

Also unconfirmed, but these reports have almost always been eventually confirmed by multiple reputable sources, while Wagner reports have nearly all been quickly debunked as pure propaganda and misinformation.

Lol.

“Your”. “Says”

You know it’s true since Chris Licht took over, which was exactly when you started posting CNN videos with the caption “even CNN something something” as if it wasn’t common knowledge they tried to become a right wing outlet to capture Fox viewers, destroying any credibility they once had and tanking their ratings which you celebrated.

But of course you’ll pretend you don’t know that, just like you don’t know about the “southern strategy”. Just like you pretend you don’t know Ashley Babbitt is a catch 22 for you that completely destroys one or more narratives you hold sacred, which explains your absolute refusal to ever even acknowledge her existence anymore.

Only far right anti Biden outlets would host hour long free campaign commercial Trump softball “interview” events packed with only supporters and infomercial level questioning, and Trump only goes on far right outlets. Proof enough for those not blind that they’ve sold their soul.

If anyone cared to look, they pre-labeled upcoming hearings as “democrats attack whistleblowers” before the hearings even started….”whistleblowers” when talking about the disgraced paid activist actors/ex FBI agents that are 100% not whistleblowers by any definition of the term, which was clearly determined by the courts when they applied for whistleblower protection from being fired for insane violations of duty, clearances, and the law including stealing secret FBI data, refusing to serve warrants, lying to protect Jan 6 defendants, threatening other agents, refusing direct orders from superiors, etc. and who the courts clearly determined aren’t whistleblowers, but now far right CNN calls them “whistleblowers” anyway, bowing to the MAGA crowd’s factually incorrect nonsense once again. Sure sounds pretty far right to me….excuse me if I trust my proven ability to determine facts over your proven inability.

This proves once again that you are incapable of comprehending anything that doesn’t fit your narrative.
To be clear, you are only worth listening to because you expose the complete insanity MAGgots are telling each other annd which propaganda outlets they come from, offering an opportunity to investigate myself and learn facts to contradict their baseless claims and projection with. You are an unwitting tool for me. Without you I would be ignorant of so many MAGA crimes, lies, and schemes. Thanks.

Today’s MAGA terrorist….
Aimenn Penny- Maggot Neo Nazi member of White Lives Matter and “activist” who admits to trying to firebomb a church in Ohio in response to a planned drag story event.
He was too inept to start a fire despite using molotovs and spraying gasoline on the church and only caused minor damage…he said that’s the only thing he regrets.

Tennessee Republicans Ban Beyoncé

It sounds like a lot of what goes on at a WWE event might be illegal, per this law. Ultra-jacked dude walks down the ramp to some thumping tune and rips off his tank top before jumping in the ring? Straight to jail.

Daughter Refused To Walk Inside

newtboy says...

I grew up in a different era.
My parents would not only have left me there, they would have locked the doors to the house.

The one time I threw a tantrum in a store my mother bent down and calmly gave me two choices. 1) calm down and act appropriately immediately or 2) we go home that second without groceries and I don’t ever go to any store or event with her again (they had no problem leaving me alone for hours when I was under 5). I knew she meant it, so I shut up.

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)

Well, well, well. Here we are. I'm not around much any more - but I couldn't let this event pass without celebrating an amazing achievement of Newtboy reaching Galaxy.

Even though I'm not around much - going through some life changes (time makes you bolder, even children get older) VideoSift is still my high water mark for making a dent in the world - and I'm very proud that great people like Newtboy still choose to make a home here on the Sift. VideoSift forever!

My song is short and sweet this time. I'm mainly a cappella these days ... with a large helping of apologies to The Eagles. @lucky760, flip the switch on the new badge! Congrats @newtboy.

More Russia Russia Russia convictions. Just guessing but I think we are into the high 40’s of Trump officials convicted for collusion, the first conviction was Flynn as Trump took office.…seems like the number of Russian nationals that donated massive amounts to Trump’s campaign are likely triple digits....your nothing burger

A Republican strategist was sentenced Friday to 18 months in prison for his role in helping funnel illegal foreign campaign contributions from a Russian national into former President Trump's 2016 campaign, per the Department of Justice.

Jessie Benton, a former senior aide to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), orchestrated a scheme to conceal the illegal foreign donation with another GOP political advisor.

Benton, 45, was convicted in November of conspiring to solicit and cause an illegal campaign contribution by a foreign national, effecting a conduit contribution, and causing false records to be filed with the Federal Election Commission, per the DOJ.
Benton arranged for the Russian national to attend a political campaign fundraising event and take a photo with Trump, federal prosecutors said.

The Russian national wired $100,000 to Benton's political consulting firm to make an illegal foreign contribution. But Benton allegedly pocketed $75,000 and gave $25,000 to the campaign, falsely identifying himself as the donor.
The campaign unknowingly filed reports with the FEC that inaccurately reported Benton as the source of the funds instead of the Russian national, per the Justice Department.

ALSO…Trump is also under investigation by Jack Smith for the biggest campaign finance fraud in history, possibly the biggest money laundering scheme in U.S. history, $800 million laundered through his lackey’s (and his own) fake LLCs created for the sole purpose of taking in money from Trump’s campaign. these companies provided nothing for the money besides kickbacks to Trump. They suckered you again…took your money, pocketed it, and laughed their asses off at how dumb you cultists are. It was obvious…his campaign never paid their bills but was constantly begging for ever more cash.

newtboy says...

Ruh-roe! Seems Jack Smith filed a motion to dissolve attorney client privilege for Trump’s lawyers based on the crime/fraud exception.
Since his lawyers swore under oath there were no more classified documents in Trump’s possession before literally thousands of classified documents were found being hidden in multiple places with multiple warrants, swore a thorough search had been done when they knew it had not, they ARE all complicit in the crimes, so no privilege exists. They will be forced to testify and will lose their law licenses and may still see prison.
D’oh!

Also, Trump’s incompetent fraud architect of the capitol, who is not an architect and has zero experience in conserving historic buildings or restoration, was finally fired for massive abuse of power, extreme incompetence, ethics violations, and extreme misconduct including but not limited to his office leasing 3 luxury cars for his family and repeatedly impersonating a Capitol police officer. Every Trump appointee is a criminal fraud with no experience in the job they were installed in. The shallow state.

As a side note, DeSantis was caught hiding his order to ban firearms from his own events and insisting the venues ban firearms without his public involvement or statements so he could pretend it wasn’t on his order and not under his control, but it was. Another case of “do as I say, not as I do” from righties.

Bonus- The Trump Building is about to go into default, Trump’s biggest asset, and is severely underwater and losing more tenants while expenses rise. He can’t get ANY new loans because he’s cash poor and is about to lose $250 million in just one of many court cases, and is about to lose this one time $400 million building.

Second bonus- the Smartmatic 2.7 billion lawsuit against Fox progressed again, with the judge ruling Fox did slander/libel Smartmatic with malice, having knowledge that what they reported was false.
