I'm a bit confused. I only watched the first few seconds of each and the video content of each is completely different. They are different videos of the same song, but they are different videos. Am I missing something?

To me it seems pretty clear that it's a dupe, but he claims there are several precedents in his favour. He was quite insistent I called your attention to it.

Yeah, but the thing is I think it is a dupe. I can ask dag/lucky what they think though.

It may have been the same song but it definitely was NOT THE SAME VIDEO. Not even close. There's plenty of precedent to back this up, perhaps I may suggest that you actually check this next time you decide to dupe a top 15 video. Please make this right.

Yup, sounds like Flemish to me, judging by the similarities with German, although I might be wrong. Great delivery by Eric Idle though.

I knew this song by heart far, far before I should have known of such things.

And for those who don't know, the one on the right is (I believe) Neil Innes The writer of many of the songs for Python (along with Eric Idle doing the lyrics for a number), and creator of 'The Rutles', the Beatles send up/mock band, that existed before Spinal Tap did it all.

I saw him perform in a really intimate little show here in Melbourne (Australia) a number of years ago. He's a great performer and writer of songs which while being funny are also just plain great melody wise.

Eric Idle appears more swishy than usual in this clip. Still funny tho.
