Transformers Movie Intro - 1986
I saw this in theaters as well. I remember the day as I burned my hand on the stove and had to wear an ice pack to the movies. I would have been 6 or 7. I remember crying when Optimus died as well.
However, just watching the intro, holy shit there were some huge names in this. I knew Orson Wells was, but didn't know the other half dozen more that showed. Judd Nelson, Eric Idle, Leonard Nimoy, etc.

Monty Python: Michealangelo Trolls the Pope
thanks, my mistake (that'll teach me to blindly copy yt tags).
>> ^wormwood:
Maybe fix the tags. It's John Cleese and Eric Idle (with intro by Graham Chapman). No Gilliam on stage here.

Ha! Maybe I'll re-watch it as well! My first guess was that they were in the big fish, but Eric Idle looks too young for that. Another thought is that it is from the play in the 'real world.' Backstage or something. It's definitely a scene with Sarah Polley... oh well. Hopefully we find out soon!

Unfortunately I can't remember either! Guess I'll have to watch the whole movie again and see if I recognize the screenshot.

*dead. Unfortunately I can't tell which part of the movie this clip is from to find a backup
Monty Python - The Art of Making an Introduction
While Eric Idle is awesome, what sold it for me(and what I always loved most about Monty Python) was Terry Gilliam's animation
Science saved my Soul.
Eric Idle said it better.

Thanks for taking care of this. I really regret that you had some of your star-powers revoked (temporarilly one would hope). I really think this was a mistake made in good faith, but you were right, I was none too pleased. That said, shit happens, and what would the Sift be without a little drama now and then?
btw- thanks for the promotes!

Well that sucks . The least I can do is ask you to unkill it, I suppose.
In reply to this comment by lucky760:
Actually, no I can't. This is the reason extreme care must be used with the *dupeof command.
The most I can do is un-kill the video, but the votes that were taken away cannot be returned.
In reply to this comment by rasch187:
No, that's about it. If you feel I was wrong to dupeof, could you please reverse it?
In reply to this comment by lucky760:
I'm a bit confused. I only watched the first few seconds of each and the video content of each is completely different. They are different videos of the same song, but they are different videos. Am I missing something?
In reply to this comment by rasch187:
Hey lucky. Apparently we need an executive decision on something. I *dupeof'ed therealblankman's video for this one and he was none too pleased about it. To me it seems pretty clear that it's a dupe, but he claims there are several precedents in his favour. He was quite insistent I called your attention to it.
Dupeof - Thoughts (Geek Talk Post)
There's actually the mistaken dupeof rasch187 had today, that started a different sift talk post, but I'm much more interested in this little chain of events:
>> ^siftbot:
This video has been declared a duplicate; transferring votes to the original video and killing this dupe - dupeof declared by rasch187.
>> ^siftbot:
This video has been incorrectly declared a duplicate - reversed dupeof declared by rasch187.
How did rasch187 do that? Is there a de-dupe invocation that can be used in these instances? Because I was under the impression dupeof was a one way street...
