I'm just impressed at the commitment NBC is finally making to showing football in the states. 69 games total, 10 on NBC itself, the rest on NBCSN and CNBC http://www.sbnation.com/2013/7/29/4568642/2013-14-nbc-epl-tv-schedule Definitely the widest exposure ever on network television.

My question is this: So you don't agree that the guy on the ground was intentionally faking an injury? A leg injury at that. He seemed to run just fined after Beckham. Beckham may be a douche but in this instance he was right. Like it or not.

Beckham is such a Douchenozzle in the MLS it's embarrassing. He runs that league like it's his own private playground, constantly screaming at officials and telling them "Fuck You" to their faces over and over for nothing. I've lost whatever respect I've had for him since he's show'd what a cruel and insolent jackass he can be.
The MLS is a joke of a league for not dealing with him properly. For this the referee didn't give him a red card, when it clearly is. The league then suspended him for one game and fined him an undisclosed amount of probably $1000 which is pointless for Beckham. It's just nuts, American Football cannot grow with these shit people.



So you hit people when they're faking an injury? What are you 8? So what he was faking, it's up to the referee to get him up and add time, kicking balls at him and hitting him and the referee is a red card offense. It doesn't matter that he was faking an injury.

This is just like on Cops when the police are talking to a guy who just hit his wife "Yeah but she said..." It Doesn't Matter! You can't hit people!

I'd like to add that in the EPL, Rooney one of the biggest players there threw the ball towards a referee, didn't even hit him and got a red card immediately. Brek Shea a player for FC Dallas in the MLS earlier in the year kicked a ball at a ref and got 3 games...Beckham got banned 1 extra game, that's bullshit.

before they changed dual wielding from being a class skill to being a spec ability at the end of wotlk, i used to dual wield em but as arms for fun and when they proc'd i'd hit bladestorm and it did the most intense animation youve seen. lightning everywhere!

Reminds me of the VERY OLD windfury proc's, so sad they killed the timing of the sound and animation--I have NO CLUE why they did that it was PERFECT as working!?!? Maybe they thought the newbies would get scared off by the pretty lights and sounds, I know I run for a ditch and /cover.
Second, as is said elsewhere in a different fashion, I'd like to point out that once they really start talking I have no idea what language they are talking in. It sounds like Sumerian, but I don't specialize in languages that old and dry...


oh god, i remember the original windfury totems when it didnt increase melee haste but instead gave a chance to proc a second attack. it was crack for fury warriors. i'll never forget one zg run we did and windfury proc'd during a huge trash pull on a whirlwind.....after i had popped recklessness....giant yellow crits filled my screen, i pulled mass aggro, and promptly died. but it was badass

not long after i completed the claw set i met a failadin out in epl, they proc'd halfway through the fight, and he bubble hearthed lol

Makes you wonder about the quality of the MLS. This guy played in the heady heights of the First Division. That's below the Championship which in turn bows to the Premiership.


Actually there's no wondering. I watch the MLS, La Liga, EPL and Bundesliga. The MLS is way below in quality of play of those leagues. It's sort of just an American thing, we've got a lot of speed and power and we know how to build athletes. This game though is a mystery to a lot of American players. Division 1 of the NCAA you'll see some skill, but it's mostly trumped by physical play which carries over into the MLS.

It's not easy to explain, but lets just use a Messi or a Neymar as an example. It's a good chance that they wouldn't even get a chance to shine as kids in the US right now. Because they wouldn't be picked for teams being scrawny and in comparison, slow. Messi is a slow player compared to US players but he's got technical speed...he is fast with the ball GLUED to his foot. Also players like that would look like they're worse than they are because they have NO ONE to play with. It would just be them...being triple teamed and sometimes they'd break free like Neymar in club play or Messi playing for Argentina. But by and large you're playing with a team that you have to play the same level as...so you're not who you were.

An international coach gave me a more simple explanation of what the difference is between the leagues. Look at how a player dribbles the ball, and look at how far they can place it and run onto it while keeping control of it. In the EPL is maybe a couple yards...the more technical players like Suarez would keep it at most a yard from them. La Liga if you watch the most technical players it would be within a foot of them...it's constantly close even when at speed (Messi the ball is either under him or within an inch, he's crazy). The MLS though...the ball is yards away sometimes...and there's still bad and late tackles because players just cannot read the game fast enough.

Yeah sorry but that's fucked up. Everyone's usually ok with the berating of officials but it simply shouldn't be tolerated. They're there to do a job and sometimes they're gonna make mistakes. If they make a mistake the 1st thing to do isn't to swear and curse and threaten them all over the place. I can't think of any other sport where this would be tolerated, except the EPL because the refs there are told to let it go.
