A bit nitpicking isn't it Blankfist? Most original fans fucking hated the initial awful dub, so one of the biggest features was the actual re-recording, I really doubt they even thought about adding the old one for LULZ factors. I always watch anime in Japanese with English subtitles. The blu-ray of Akira is fantastic I thought, amazing transfer and great DTS remaster.
Grave of the fireflies is actually one of my favorite animes, because it deals with very adult themes about war and loss in a format not traditionally known for that. I think Perfect Blue is along similar lines as well as Millennium Actress. One of my biggest beefs with animation in the west is that it's not in any way adult, Pixar produces really safe animated films.

Speaking of Anime... Everyone knows of the great titles like Ghost in the Shell and Ninja Scroll, but here's one you may have passed over. It's called Grave of the Fireflies. I recommend watching the Japanese audio with English subtitles. The Japanese little girl's voice is pretty damn precious.
Like Akira, this is an animated film released in '88. According to wiki, "It is an adaptation of the semi-autobiographical novel of the same name by Akiyuki Nosaka, intended as a personal apology to the author's own sister." And it's amazing. A straight animated drama that will certainly tug at the heart strings.

Battlefield: The Battle of Scandinavia in World War II
If anyone's interested in colour pictures as well as original video footage of both campaigns, check out this German documentary: Krieg in der Arktis.
It doesn't have English subtitles, so the video footage will have to suffice.

It should; that's another of Blomkamp's shorts, done in his signature style.

District 9 Trailer HD - No Blurred Face & English Subtitles
>> ^EDD:
^Does it? Wasn't it clear that the humans would be portrayed as the 'baddies' and the "aliens" would be a metaphor for "immigrants" all along?
From the first trailer I got the impression that the aliens were here, and were a threat somehow, and the government was interrogating a captive to find out what they want and make them go away somehow.
I guess I just wasn't paying much attention, since there definitely are clues, like the woman saying "they spend so much money keeping them here"...
Anyway, this movie was on the top of my list since the first trailer, and the bar for another movie to pass it just got raised

Night and Fog Holocaust documentary
>> ^alizarin:
Half of this is credits, it's in French with Spanish subtitles and nothing visually interesting is going on. What was in the original?
It's the documentary "Night and Fog" by the renowned French director Alain Resnais. If you're curious you can google him, I'm sure there's plenty out there. As for this video, it's the opening credits and first few minutes of the documentary. The original one I posted was dead and this was the best I could find for the time being. The first video I posted also had english subtitles. There also might have been slightly less credits in the original post.
As for visually interesting what would you like, more explosions? It's about the holocaust.
Star Wars Episode III: Backstroke of the West
THis is dumb. So a Chinese bootlegger is translating english (spoken) into english subtitles???? HuH? Why not copy the subtitle file from the original DVD?
If you told me this was someone's bad translation of the Chinese subtitles, then it probably makes sense but that is basically playing the phone game. So I think this is lame.
