Sarah Palin argues it's time to impeach Obama

chingalera says...

Sorry-You are wrong, wrong, wrong. The '24-hour-news' cycle is an illusion. This shit is pumped-into homes 24/7 with a view to PROGRAMMING you.

If you'd like an example of how effective the formula of disinformation and distraction has become, you have but to read this thread and compare the opinions and editorializing on this ("Palins' a fucking idiot", fucking, "fox is shit, blah, blah, blah") particular distraction, to a grade-school argument over which character from the Transformers is the strongest, why dogs are better than cats, etc.

Editorializing over these talking-head fuck-sticks....Mind-numbingly retarded and an insult to meaning and intelligence. Please peeps, get a clue.

Television has become the worst drug imaginable, a weapon and tool of fascists and thugs, and you people eat the shit up like Skittles....Behold the instrument of your brain's demise.

VoodooV said:

wow, they really are copying fox news.

I may completely agree with him but that was ridiculous, but then again, Orly is a ridiculous person. I guess that's the question then. What's worse, giving ridiculous people a platform, or a press that behaves ridiculously too?

im thinking this is just a symptom of the 24 hour news cycle. they don't have enough news to fill that 24 hours, so they create their own drama. giving airtime to people who are not experts and who are not rational.

Being Completely F**king Wrong About Iraq

newtboy says...

No, it does not.
You cited Saddam's 'records' as a source, records which are notoriously exaggerated. You misquoted HRW and editorialized much of it. It sure seemed like a bad cut and paste job, but now you seem to indicate you simply wrote it yourself, badly misstating the facts (typos). Your 'reports' are as verifiable as mine, and more easily discounted since you site Saddam's records as a source, while the one's I reference were video records made by ISIS themselves. HRW may be a better source for both of us, but again your point is moot.

Once again, you are fighting a straw man...no one said Saddam wasn't horrible. I have and continue to say that the reported and recorded actions of ISIS are worse (for the amount of power and men they have) than Saddam was, and their stated goals and methods of achieving them are also worse for the people involved AND us.
It's interesting to me that you had nothing to say about my thoughts on 'removing the bad man' from power, from my viewpoint the actual topic of this conversation.
I think that about sums it up, no?

bcglorf said:

My information and sources are consistent on the 4-4,500 count of villages, the 7,500 was my own typo in my post.

For the rest I think your first sentence said all you needed to, there's no clue to the veracity of your 'reports'. Your view of a meticulously documented account from Human Rights Watch including interviews of hundreds of first hand witnesses, thousands of captured documents and audio tape recordings, as well as forensic evidence taken from places including but not limited to the mass graves themselves is to declare there's no clue to the veracity of such a report.

I think that about sums up everything, no?

Broken lives of immigrants deported from US to Mexico

TheFreak says...

I have no personal position concerning this issue. It's far too complex to arrive at any conclusive stance.

This video shows an aspect of the problem that never seems to be addressed within the debate though. It's an important perspective to consider.

That being said; it's clear the editorial bent of this piece attempts to place blame on the US for the crisis of these people. But throughout the video, it just appears to uncover the failing of the Mexican government in supporting their citizens.

Obviously the issue is complex, but if there's blame to be placed for the situation these people are in, common sense dictates that responsibility begins with the Mexican government before a critical eye is cast elsewhere.

Most Shocking Second a Day Video

chingalera says...

Again and again, your repeated statements reflect only your assumptions of my motivations based on the written words. If you'd like to know who and what I am you have but to inquire. I'll let you in on a little secret if you'd like a clue:

These are the absolute best of times to be alive in on planet now. If you want my opinion of the manner in which you and others of similar ilk conduct themselves on this site and others concerning a dissenting opinion or alternatives to run-of-the-mill editorials concerning world affairs anchored in parroting party-line opinions, you may crawl up my ass to find the answers for yourself.

As for anarchy well, you may look to geopolitics as reflected in the current paradigm, and perhaps you'll see that us common-folk haven't really got a clue of the debauch enjoyed by those involved in that sort of inhumanity.

A10anis said:

Don't need to "Edumacate" myself thanks. As for arguing a point? Well, with certain closed minded conspiracy theorists it is pointless. Especially with someone who sees ALL the problems wrapped neatly up in a capitalist plot. Their answer? they have none other than "overthrow those in control." Well, you don't need to look far to see what anarchy brings. Or should I spell it out for you? It brings exactly that; Anarchy, in fighting, tribalism, persecution and pain. You stick to your childish revolutionary talk and I will, with all its flaws, stick to the best there is at the minute ie, capitalism and democracy (such as it is).

Transformers: Age of Extinction Superbowl Teaser

ChaosEngine says...

It continually boggles the mind how they got these movies so wrong.

I honestly can't understand how you can fuck this up, but somehow they did.
Even at a very simple design level, it fails utterly.

Seriously, look at this and tell me which side is more iconic, which is more easily identifiable in an action scene.

SARAH SILVERMAN VISITED BY JESUS CHRIST

chingalera says...

This shit bees un-fucking funny- Using her plain, tired schtick and condescendingly formulaic script, she manages to accomplish a similar editorial effect about 3 out of five times. Still the sexy Jewess though...

Real Actors Read Christian Forums : Monkey People

chingalera says...

It's not too complicated as enoch explained, I'm not too hard to figure out-If I'm as damaged as some accuse me of may I remind those who feel I have singled them out for destruction: I often offer the mirror and admit my own inability or unwillingness to process information beyond my own filters-I try to imagine what it would be like to be on the receiving-end of the same 'vitriol', newtboy, and it's not long before I find myself there when I engage in these projects of using the same derogatory sentiments and language used to present these types of editorials.

It's simple. Someone starts from a position of disgust and outrage at some christian-type, some rightist political type, and I shit on that very exercise using what I understand to be the same devices, with a view to exposing the hypocrisy. It gets taken personally by a few of the more angry campers, then the mob.

I will always detest the titles and tone of atheists pointing-out the obvious to a room full of choir members, as well as people's political views when they come from a position of ,'my-side-of the-two-sided-fence is-better-than-another.' Both sides of any polar opposite appear exactly the same to me. God=Satan, Black=white, republican=democrat, etc.

'Newt, I'm ashamed to admit that beyond our recent exchange, I can't recall any discourse we've had in private beyond my calling-you out on your overall tone and timbre with your public comments that may have rubbed me raw now and again, perhaps I could do better to remember instances that may have affected you in some profound way-I know I've taken care to recant past actions or unsolicited frustration with some here offended by myself, extended olive branches, etc., some have been accepted as sincere (which it most assuredly is when I am truly penitent) some has been ignored or remains forever unforgiven. I have no regrets nor am I responsible for anyone's emotional state at any given time.

Admit my own egocentricity at times and I have had my fair share of battles with some real pieces of work here on this site, but I always return, more patient and forgiving and that much more of an asshole when asshole is dealt me.

...and then there's the resident beat-cop chicchorea, *quality
Thanks enoch, thanks newt, radx and VoodooV and Chaos Engine, for making the place fun...Never a dull moment.

Obamas' a fucking tool, Atheists have their heads up the same ass as Christians, television is poison, life is fair and ultimately painful, enjoy the ride.

TYT - Two Cops React To Protesters In Very Different Ways

chingalera says...

Eric can recall from my past tenure here and since I opened my mouth concerning this asshole's brand of so-called "alternative or whteverthefuck" journalistic masturbation. He's a fucking douchebag, self-pimping, do-nothing of an editorializing windbag Cenk is, and his entire crew of ineffectual do-and-say-nothings.

i had a black dog-his name was depression

00Scud00 says...

I was reading an editorial in the paper just this morning and the writer was stating that the connection between depression (along with other mental illnesses) and brain chemistry may not be as strong as we once believed it to be. The pharmaceutical industry and various mental health organizations were both promoting this, albeit for different reasons, big pharma for the obvious financial gains and mental health groups pushed it because people seem to accept mental health problems better if they believe it's because there is something physically wrong with someone.
I'm not sure how much I believe it yet, but I know from my own experiences that my own depression seems pretty much impervious to anything out there, I do take bupropion though. @shinyblurry, I'll echo many others here by saying that hope is a carrot at the end of a stick that's leading you off a cliff, hope is a sign on a storefront that's reminding you that disappointment will be back in five minutes, for many people with depression, hope is bullshit.
Now, I believe that you meant perfectly well with your thoughts of hope but I do think it's important to know that to many people suffering from depression might see that as a glib statement, implying that we can just turn our suffering on or off like a light switch.
Oh, and my black dog has three heads and is not to be fucked with, he thinks the one in this video looks like a pussy.

entr0py said:

It's hard to say if the chemical evidence of depression is cause or effect. I don't genuinely believe in free will, because I don't see how it's possible. And yet, I've got to think that we have control over our thoughts, and that exercising that control can gradually effect our mood. If I am a machine, I am the kind that continually struggles with this problem and can't predict how it will end up.

186 mph motorcycle gets passed by a station wagon (Audi)

chingalera says...

Jesus Christ and the gun-bashing bandwagon is leaving the station. My ramblings lost in the ether regardless of facts or fucking figures (death stats by firearms or violence), become mute when you consider that more Germans die of complications from their annual Bratwurst intake than from violent crimes. MY POINT was to pooh-pooh quadrophonic who turned the thread in the direction it went with a simple comment.

Then comes the bandwagon, which I attempted to derail, and now everyone wants to jump in and whine about their take on issues surrounding firearms in the United States, like they are some fucking problem. The problems' with criminals being created by a broken criminal justice system, the fear mongering fomented by news organizations and the cunts proposing legislation whenever some imbecile snaps, and the lackeys that feed on their output like pablum.

All stats, all anger directed at senseless crimes committed by the uncommitted with guns (mass shootings), and all dumb assess who feed on news organization's and their editorializing on sensible laws for guns (that we don't already have) in order to justify more laws become IRRELEVANT when you consider, that by design disarming partially or completely the average citizen is the goal of any fascist.

Most of you who UP-voted ASMO's comment without this explained context or with it, are pretty much the lay-down-and-fuck-me types who, should some fascist regime pop-in and tell them what and how to do things now, would enthusiastically succumb, especially if the offer were candy-coated and the statistics looked good, and you could keep things like groceries and your fucking car.
(and yeah, I up'ed quad's comment...I love to jump head-first into threads hi-jacked by passionate fools)

Or, you simply live in another paradigm (being in a country who has not systematically programmed their inhabitants with violence, fear, and race-tensions) and have no reference for the consternation of a sane, reasonable person surrounded by minions of dutiful robots.

Obamacre Navigators Exposed Coaching Applicants to Lie

chingalera says...

I wish you could, too.
The reason you don't see down-votes around here scud in my estimation is that historically on this site, balls don't drop until there's something passionate to hide behind while three or more distracted members of the same camp wail like mourners at a funeral in Istanbul. The whole while missing forests for toothpick sculptures of famous landmarks.

He got an NPR exec fired and made ACORN eat their own shit. Good guy. So he takes license with and spins stories the way his particular illusions play-out. SO does every editorializing clueless monkey in journalism.

As I say with any news or any opinion of current world affairs. Half the facts means you know dick.

Multiple Anal Probes, Forced Defecation For Clenched Buttock

chingalera says...

Yo radx-We realize you're trying to communicate the details of the graphic violation committed by these cops'n all but, your title reads as if you took part in the victim's experience either form the first-person or otherwise.

Try this one: "Further Rectal Violations Before Freed, They Were ALLL Up In That Ass!"

^^ nice-critique way

Now. An offering of TYT jumping on this story and Cenk Unjmkgar's laboriously cloddish editorializing on this story?? Can't stand the douche-HIs bawk-bawking detracts from the facts and his schtick, as tiresome as fake ham packaged and sold as pork-Downvote for Cenk, again and again.

Dreaming of a Bright Future for Congress

chingalera says...

BooooOOO! Editorializing Sunday-news-bobble head with nasally voice, smarmy analogies and entitled tone, poorly-written clap-trap designed to distract and stupefy, completely without merit or talent, coke-addled musings of a bereft institution, burn it to the ground! Fuck television, Fuck Face The Nation and the network offering it as a vehicle for advertising dish soap and processed fucking microwave snacks...

(Sorry dude, here's a couple of power-points to make it feel better)

BRILLIANT Aussie Ad That Rupert Murdoch Had Banned

Asmo says...

Uh huh, so a headline of a paper should be laser accurate and never indulge in subjective or editorial bias, but videos can be titled with whatever the poster decides regardless of the "facts"?

You're missing the point by a country mile. You want to hold Murdoch to account, good on ya. The guy is a fucking waste of skin imo. But if you are going to do it, it's hypocritical to use exactly the same tactics he uses.

It's not rocket science, the video can stand on it's own without the need for a sensationalist hyperbolic headline/title.

alien_concept said:

I just think that what I am being accused of is a wild exaggeration, haha. You're going way over the top to make a point about a fucking video title. I'm sorry, I just can't take that seriously.

CIA Admits It Was Behind Iran's Coup in 1953

chingalera says...

Freedom of Information provides a way for peeps to feel warm and cozy about their government acting unilaterally to ends deemed necessary by a small cadre of monkeys, while providing the mechanism for unchecked bullshit to continue unhindered.
OH, it also makes for marginally effective tabloid journalism, creating overnight sensations through banal, pompous delivery seasoned with an over-abundance of narcissistic swagger.

"CIA releases information"......Oxymoronic??! Haven't peeps with the ability to dissect newsspeak and "official statements" known that the CIA orchestrated the Iranian coup for over 30 years?

For the tiny morsels cretins like Cenk use to further distract increasing numbers of folks with regurgitate editorializing, the huge chunks of abuse of power sit rotting on a Nation's dinner plate, served nightly by whores of media everywhere. Cenk, yer a tool.
