Redneck News reports on gay marriage destroying Alabama

poolcleaner says...

I'm going to be devil's advocate here and take the side of fearful American white trash:

Dear gays,

You're ruining the last good thing we had going on here in this country. We took care of the natives, forcing them into small communities where they slowly became psychologically oppressed and fraught with addiction.

But then we lost our control over niggers, who had their places down on our plantations. No matter, we can still push asians around because they're our bitches. But then we started to take them seriously. I don't even understand that.

I can't tell the difference between India people (Indians? Like our natives?) and allah-la-las -- and, really, I suspect because they're all in a similar area of the globe, they're the same. I might even believe Asia and India/Middle East are separate continents or somehow not entangled socially, economically and politically.

I think that's all the colored people, so lastly, addressing devil worshipers and homosexuals, who are really very similar in their connection to Satan. I can't tell you how disgusted I am about a penis going into an anus. It's just so gross. Hot lesbians are alright, but even that goes a little far, as I'm uncomfortable talking about that with people and church says no. Yes, that's bad too... and my wife definitely doesn't need to know anything about what I just said about lesbos. Now, a dyke, on the other hand, I think men are technically allowed to punch dykes.

I've already said too much. I feel gross.

In conclusion, it's been a downward spiral into immorality. Starting with the freedom of black people, who slowly made us lose sight on what is right and decent in the nation which God granted us. From negroes, came homosexuality.

The Lord God Speaks thru Robertson-2011 predictions

bcglorf says...

Why lies? The man has done nothing to indicate this . He believes in GOD. There is nothing wrong with that.

lies

I hope you aren't familiar with Robertson. Your absolutely right on there being nothing wrong with believing in God. That is not what most thinking people have against Mr. Robertson. Instead, they hold it against him that he repeatedly stirs up fear and/or hatred and claims to be doing it in the name of God. That's something that should make him MORE offensive to those that do believe than to those that don't.

Mr. Robertson on the Haiti disaster:
"It may be a blessing in disguise. ... Something happened a long time ago in Haiti, and people might not want to talk about it. Haitians were originally under the heel of the French. You know, Napoleon the third, or whatever. And they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, we will serve you if you will get us free from the French. True story. And so, the devil said, okay it's a deal. Ever since they have been cursed by one thing after the other."

Those devil worshipers had it coming and maybe they can turn this into a blessing by abandoning their heathen ways. Pat's record needs to be better known so nobody defends him by accident anymore thinking he's being persecuted for believing in God. He's being persecuted for acting like God is the same kind of hateful fear monger that he himself is.

For God's sake, don't date atheists!

Atheist is the new Pagan! No longer do I get mean stares and whispered 'he's a devil worshiper' (which I am not) when people who know I am pagan walk by. Now they don't give two shits, because they have a new 'evil'.. the evil of the Atheist.
I feel sorry for you Atheists, I have dealt with religious persecution in one way or another for many years, though people are slowly waking up to the fact that we aren't evil. But you're story is just beginning.
That and I love how Christians think if your not Christian your not moral. Where do you think they got their morality? Moses? Give me a break. From Pagan ideas, just like where they got their original holy symbol, their holidays, etc.. etc.

Define "pagan". There's a lot of definitions and it can cause lot of confusion as to what somebody means when they use the word.

President John F Kennedy Secret Society Speech

A favorite among conspiracy theorists, but as seen in the length of the video, it's taken out of context.

He's referring to the Soviet Union.

What Mormons Believe

Thepinky - you're great. I don't believe a word of what you're writing above but I still find it entertaining and welcome the fun discussion it will bring on.
I'd just like to preface the comments below this comment - with a request to keep it civil. Now, excuse me I have to go make the popcorn.

Why, thank you! I think you're great, too. I don't mind that you don't believe me. I just think Mormons are misunderstood. A lot of my defense of them comes from experiences I had in Colorado Springs, where many of my Mormon friends were treated ABOMINABLY by members of other Christian faiths in the area. I mean, you wouldn't even believe the stuff that went on or that it could be allowed to happen. I won't go TOO far into it, but I will mention that it involved rocks thrown at Mormons, defacement of Mormon homes and other property, Mormon children being called "devil worshipers", Mormon students given failing grades for no apparent reason, children being forbidden to play with Mormon kids, and oh so much more. Sickening. The sad thing is that the people who do these sorts of things claim that they are more Christian than Mormons. Ironic, isn't it?

How to Beat Your Children at Video Games

Farhad2000 says...

Unfortunately for him FPS games are my stable repertoire. Specifically Halo and Halo 2. Teh sniper rifle pwnage with twh energy sword would be too much for him to handle. And may cause traumatic childhood experiences costing into the thousands of dollars in terms of psychological treatment.

In regards to the whole Jack Thompson thing, I agree with you about seeking something to blame. It's easier to say that Columbine was caused by violent media then really explore what would push two individuals into a killing spree.

To me I believe it's also indicative of societies constant struggle against anything new and youthful that slowly replaces the indulgences of the past.

The same criticism was leveled at music during the 20th century, from soulful gospel music being too sexy and raunchy with people like Ray Charles. Or that Rock Music is turning all young people into devil worshiping Satanists who for some odd reason would buy perfectly normal records and play them backwards.

I mean look at Dag, he seemed to turn out okay right? and he used to do the whole parking lot scene.

Richard Dawkins responds to Jerry Falwell's students

jimnms says...

@ LadyBug: "i think it is irrational to believe that we were created by a supreme being. as already pointed out at 53min: why don't you believe in allah (mohammed), buddha, zeus, jesus, any other popular diety??"

I'd just like to point out that Buddhism is a non-theistic religion.

"i wonder what's harder: coming out as an atheist or coming out as a homosexual?"

Without being homosexual, I wouldn't really know, but that is a very good question. I've never come out to my family and friends and said I'm atheist, and honestly don't know how they'd react.

I live in the south (jesusland), but thankfully I was not raised in a strict religious manner. We never regularly attended church, usually only on special occasions such as Christmas, Easter, etc, but I did attend a Christian school and went to bible school in the summer. I never really bought into the "god" thing. I was the kind of kid that was always asking "why" and "what if," and religion couldn't provide answers where science could. I was also taught as a kid that atheists were "devil worshipers."

I suspect one of my sisters is atheist like me because we think alike. My other sister became very religious a few years ago. When she had a child, and by the age of two had her child singing "Jesus Loves Me" and other religious type things, it really hit me. I'd never read or heard of Richard Dawkins then, but I thought to myself then that children should be given a choice in religion when they are old enough, rather than being brought up that way. Words can't describe how I feel for this child when I hear her singing these things. I kind of fell like she's being brainwashed, but who am I to tell her how to raise her child?
